Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Lisa Savage and I have been doing research since 1990. My quest started then in trying to find my grandma Ruth Bean's family. I have spent a lot of time taking pictures of graves in Wilkes,Ashe, and Caldwell county, NC and also documenting african american graves in Anderson County, SC. My family lines are from VA and NC. Some of my family names are Woodie, Hall, Owens,Bean, Wyatt,Stamper and West.
I live in Guilford County, (Greensboro) NC and I would be happy to help anyone researching the area.

Thanks for responding, did you see my second message with the USGENWEB site for the county? They have a few photos of the property and cemetery:

http://www.usgwarchives.net/sc/anderson/cemeteries/a130/

Hopefully someone local will get an opportunity to visit and work the cemetery someday :) It's not too far from me so I'll put it on a watch list and possibly can get out there in the spring or summer.

Thanks again, Karyn

More Info
I finally located this about the church and cemetery:

http://www.usgwtombstones.org/southcarolina/anderson/anderson4.html

I will get the cemetery moved to Anderson County. Even with an Easley mailing address, it has to be placed in the correct physical county location on Find A Grave.

GPS is 34.774366, -82.560883, off the road in the woods, about a third of a mile from where the street address pin shows on Google Earth.

Thanks, Karyn

Please help
I am trying to get the GPS location for this cemetery where you photographed the church building;

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GScid=2518768&CRid=2518768&pt=John%20Wesley%20United%20Methodist%20church&

When I enter the street address listed on the cemetery description page (309 St Paul, Easley) in Google Earth, I do not get this building, I get what looks to be a barn, no church in sight. Also, the address places the cemetery in Anderson County, not Pickens County.

I get nothing helpful from Google on this property or church either.

Can you assist with its location? Also, the two graves you listed as being in this cemetery, did you photograph them when you photographed the church?

thanks, Karyn

RE: Lola Carlton
Hi! I would be happy to make the correction, but would like to make sure I'm understanding it correctly (lots of Hesters involved!). You're saying the parents of Hester Wright West (1780-1840) are Josiah Wright and Hester (not Peggy Ferguson) and that Hester Wright West's grandparents are Joshua Wright and Hester?

RE: Reubin Hall
Lisa, I transferred Reuben, children Paul and Maudy, memorials I made, to you. Please ask Charlotte to transfer the others as she is the maker of those memorials. Glad I could find family.

RE: Reubin Hall
Lisa, I added your information to Reuben and asked Charlotte, a cousin, to add it to Susanna's memorial. Thanks for the info and do you need a transfer of Reuben's memorial and subsequent children, etc. that I may have made to you? I am the memorial maker on Reuben's only because this cemetery is within walking distance of my home in NC. Let me know and I know that Charlotte would be willing to transfer Susanna. I took the picture of her stone last week as I wandered the county.
