RE: Looking for relative Linda, he is not buried at Highland Park in Borger. All of the burials up through 2000 have been recorded for all of the Hutchinson County cemeteries and most of the burials since then. A.J. actually died in Amarillo according to the death index, and I will look for an obit for him to see if it says where he is buried. If I can find it in the Borger paper, I can do it this week, but if it is in the Amarillo paper, it will be a while before I do it.
RE: Where are all the women? Hello! Thank you for the message. I will get the information that I have typed up and sent to you as soon as I can. My grandmother, Edna is buried across the river from here in Martins Ferry (I am in Wheeling, WV now) and I am planning on taking a trip to see if I can get a photo once the weather brightens up a bit. Hoping to be much more involved in this project not only in adding missing ancestors but in helping others with photo requests and such. I have along list of Ulloms, Martins, Leahys and others to add.We will find those women that came before us :) I was young when Edna passed but remember it well. She was a wonderful lady and my dad mourned her loss the rest of his life. Thanks again!
RE: B. R. Stafford Hi Linda, I have confirmed with my cousin, Exie, Barton's daughter, that the information on the memorial is correct. The tree you were looking at apparently has some typographical errors.
Are you related to the Stafford's? Maybe we are cousins.
RE: William H. Herron Nice to hear from you! William's parents are my 5th great Aunt and Uncle. Martha Leach Herron is my 5th Great Aunt. She was my 4th Great Grandfather's sister. His name was Thomas Leach who married Peggy Ann West. Samuel Herron is my 5th Great Uncle. He was my 4th Great Grandmother's brother. Her name was Rebecca Herron who married Thomas Brooks. I thought it was special that they married each other. So I am related through both lines. Which one of William's children is your husband direct line? Where do you live? I live in Corpus Christi, Texas. I am planning a trip to Collin County in a little over a week. I have 2 sisters that live in that area. We have information from a book that we read at the Plano library "The Cemeteries of Collin County" Where one of Martha's grandson's a Stambaugh had been at the Burn's Cemetery in Celina in 1975 and read a few of the stones including hers. It's a relatively forgotten cemetery on private property. I contacted the owner of the land that the graveyard is on and He is going to take us and show us the cemetery area. He said that when they discovered it was on their land that most of the tombstones had been vandalized and are in the nearby creek. I don't know if we will be able to find her stone or not. He said there was a big obelisk stone in the creek and I am thinking that it is probably hers. I have been able to find a lot of information through Family Search and Ancestry.com about Martha and Samuel and their son William. I would love to get any information you might have. Thanks again for contacting me. I look forward to hearing from you!!
Delbert L. Evans. I am his youngest son and i live in Binghamton New York. My mother was Mabel Evans, sister Shirley Evans Hunt and brother Dewayne "Tarzan" Evans. I am the last member of my immediate family.
RE: Grissom Hi Linda, I haven't done it often, either. But what I have done is to transfer the information on the Memorial I created that is not already also on that earlier Memorial, using the Edit tab, & then delete the duplicate Memorial I had created. I haven't seen any formal instructions on how to do it other than they tell you to always merge the later Memorial to the earlier Memorial. So far no one has complained about how I've done it so I presume it's ok. Thanks again, Jim
