Genealogy helps restore the many pieces of the puzzle regarding family connections. Life is defined by the dash between our birth and the time we go to meet our Heavenly Father God. |
I am interested in the "dashes" between my ancestors' birth and death beginning with those who came in the mid 1600s - 1700s: The White family, who came on the first Mayflower voyage and settled in Plymouth, MA. Then the line of families including:Rowe, Brainerd-Brainard and Collins from England; Nicol- Scotland and Wheelers, who first settled in Massachusetts, Connecticut,Rhode Island & St. Lawrence County, New York and then settled in Iowa, also the Quaker families of Knowles and Wilbur (from NY to Iowa). The Peckenpaughs and Steibers from Germany, and then those who came in the 1800s and settled in Wisconsin, Iowa and South Dakota - Childs from England, Steiber from Prussia, Nold from Switzerland, Hauge from Norway, and Nicholas from Wales; Lastly those who came in 1898... the Danish and Swedish ancestors namely Christensen, Nelsen, Nelson, and Carlson families who settled in South Dakota, Minnesota and North Dakota.
"Not to know what
happened before we were
born is to remain perpetually
a child. For what is the worth
of a human life unless it is
woven into the life of our ancestors by the records of history"
-Cicero (106-43 B.C.)

You are welcome! I also posted a better grave photo for her husband, Walter, on his memorial.

Do you know where Daniel Brainard's third wife Hannah Spencer born 4-15-1653 is burried and when she died. Most records say she died 4-1-1715 which is the date Daniel died. May be but strange coinsident. Per your notes she must have been alive in 5-2-1715 "And having first come to a loving agreement with our hond. mother-in-law, Hannah Spencer".

Hi: Thank you for replying so quickly to my request. I received an email from Ann, too.
I am unable to link from Colonel Mendell to his children. You can only link his children of Colonel Mendell from the child memorial by referencing the Father and Mother in the child's memorial. So, if you are the manager of these, you will need to do this.
I am looking forward to getting all 12 of the Colonel's children under his memorial site.
Again, thank you so much for helping get the records correct!

You entered Sidney #59838713 a couple of years back. Arlene member #47827508 has recently entered Sidney as #97252645 which creates a duplicate. I have several of his children to link to one of the Sidney J Mendells.
I know that Find A Grave does not like duplicate entries. My question is 'Who will delete their entry?' or should we let Find A Grave make a decision.
I would greatly appreciate your thoughts.
