Bio and Links
Bio Photo I became hooked on genealogy when I was 10. I transcribed tombstones in my hometown because I wanted to research who the founding families were and how their lives were.

I'm a Hood family researcher, something of a "clearinghouse" for Hood info because I've collected so much info on Hoods over the years, and I kept the info even though they turned out not to be my Hoods.

I hope to get involved in photographing tombstones in the near future so I can participate more in Find a Grave, but right now it's a bit difficult walking through cemeteries.

Inscription: Here lyes the body of Isaac Powers One of the sweet and pleasant flowers Who in his lifetime lived well But God did toll his mournful bell Let this be a call unto the rest When God does take from us ye best Who was a pattern to us all But God can give a louder call All earthly parents now behold The price of Grace is more than Gold Prepare to meet your children first At the Resurrection of the Just Who Died December 15th 1729 in the 29th year of his age. RE: Request fulfilled?
Hi Vickie,

How are you related to Dr Jabez Proctor Powers?
His mother is buried in Ellicottville, Cattaraugus County, NY & his Dad was buried in Swinburne, Jefferson County, NY( called Upstate NY)

Yes, I would redo the request, all I was trying to do was add his picture.

I have his brother Charles Powers photo, but need to figure out how to scan it & add to Find A Grave also. I may have more also.

Sincerely, Laurie # 47375347

RE: Request fulfilled?
Hi Vickie,
There should be a picture of Dr Jabez Proctor Powers on his memorial page. I see it, can you?

How are you related?

Please let me know if you were able to see the picture.

Sincerely, Laurie # 47375347

Noah Powers
Hi Vickie, How have you been? Life goes on sort of around here. Think of you often and wonder if you ever published re: our Jonathan Powers. Breaking in a new computer, or it's breaking me but made the change to Noah, anyway. Thanks!
Will have to see about your email addy - Outlook wouldn't let me do it, tries to force me into an MS account, starts fights!
Let me know if you find any more booboos in my stuff there in NH. Didn't get to finish before I was interrupted to do other things.
Take care, Sandra in CO

Reed Family
Vickie, There are at least 2 other couples buried with Francina and Abel Reed. I took photos and put them on their respective memorials. They are Josiah and Elphoncine George and Jennie and Elmer Sampson.

RE: Thanks
Hi. My experience as a genealogist has taught me that sometimes official documents can be wrong. I have run into several instances where this was the case. I live 2 miles from the Lowell Cemetery. If you would like to email me more information about this particular person and possible relatives that she could be buried with, I would be more than happy to investigate further. Clayton

RE: Solomon Smith grave
Sorry, I thought I had his wife's up but I was still in his memorial. So didn't have his stone, please redo your request. I did add a government monument for all the military and his name was on it.
