I became hooked on genealogy when I was 10. I transcribed tombstones in my hometown because I wanted to research who the founding families were and how their lives were. |
I'm a Hood family researcher, something of a "clearinghouse" for Hood info because I've collected so much info on Hoods over the years, and I kept the info even though they turned out not to be my Hoods.
I hope to get involved in photographing tombstones in the near future so I can participate more in Find a Grave, but right now it's a bit difficult walking through cemeteries.

Hi Vickie, I'm happy to do it. You probably noticed that the image is rotated. i have a question in to Find A Grave to see if I can fix it, then I'll do the others you requested.
thank you for the additional information. Could you please indicate the source so I can cite it? many thanks.

Nancy Sandford is buried in Highland Cemetery. I added a photo of monument there in her daughter's lot. She has no marker. I also asked that Nancy be moved to the correct cemetery.

I am curious if you are related to Luther Richardson or Sally Ticknor? I did add the suggestion on the second marriage to Sally. I have always wondered What happened to Luther down there in Charlestown, SC. He certainly did not treat Sally very nicely. Do you know where any of them are buried? Sally is in Salmon Hole Cemetery in Lisbon, NH. I do not know where Luther nor Joshua are interred. I descend from Luther and Sally's son John Richardson.

If you are related I would like to transfer these memorials to you.
I will accept the edits you requested but since I'm not related to these people I would prefer for a family member to have "ownership".
Let me know,

If you check memorials for Alonzo Napoleon Wood, Charles H. Wood, Herbert N. Wood and Lucy J Wood you will find a stone with all their names. Also, check Napoleon Wood who has his own stone. There are two other stones but they are no longer legible.

There are no grave stones for the people you asked for. The ones that are there were photographed by Alexis and posted on 4/7/2012.

Thanks for the note and the question. The cemetery is open, and so I had no trouble going to the area where the cemetery catalog stated that the grave was located. However, that section of the cemetery is so old, the gravestones are all weathered and there is maybe one out of 10 that can be barely read, the majority show no names, dates, they are just weathered stones. So I don't know which is William's. I'm sorry and know this isn't the result someone wants!
You are very welcome.
