Alfred Robinson
Added a photo of Alfred's gravestone, I wanted to get it to you since you were waiting for it for 4 years and someone else said they could not find it. It is hard to read but I'm 100% sure it is the one your looking for. sorry about the shadow thae was a broken fence next to him I couldn't move. This cemetery is in poor shape a lot of broken and missing stones.

Annie Hawkins
I have an old photo album, in one photo, there are two children, above the photo it is written Annie and William Hawkins.

I have hoped for years to find out who these people are and believe they may be related to you.

i believe that my husband's family is related to you.

RE: James McEvers, Glascow Cmtry
You are welcome! My family in Glasgow Cemetery is buried fairly near to James, so I got lucky in finding him. I live in NY, but was visiting IL to do some genealogy work, so I printed out the cemetery's photo requests, and I managed to find a few of them in the limited time I had there. James appears to have lived a distinguished life. Glad I could help you get a picture of his final resting place. Mary

RE: JAAW Clark
Not a document; it's a reference in an index in a book, The Maryland Line Confederate Soldier's Home, showing the flags on loan to the home given by Capt. J.W. Clark, Augusta, GA.

RE: JAAW Clark

You are right, it is John William. The document I had said "J.W. Clark" and I first found JAAW, and assumed, since I found him to be a "Captain," they left out the two A's for brevity.

John William is certainly the one as he was actually in the CW, and very active in the UCV as you said, and was one of the founders of the first Vet's organizations, the Cav. Survivors Association.

You should be proud to have them as ancestors; thanks for your help.

RE: JAAW Clark

I'm not related. I'm a CS flag collector/conservator, among other things. It appears that JAAW Clark acting on behalf of the Hussars, loaned out 5 flags (3 belonging to Cobb's Legion). I don't think they were his personally--just wondering if you might have any family stories about them.

RE: JAAW Clark
Right, but he WAS a captain in the Richmond Hussars in the 1880's and 90's, a local cavalry militia, well documented.

JAAW Clark
Hi Herb:

I found your postings of your ancestors and wonder if you might help me. I'm researching your relative JAAW Clark. It seems he was a Captain in the GA militia and may have owned a number of Civil War Flags

I have such a flag that I'm trying to track backwards and wondering if you can confirm this.

Thanks, Josh Phillips
