|Penny Reynolds||William Frazier Reynolds|
Thank you for creating this memorial. William Frazier Reynolds is my greatgrandfather. My maiden name is Reynolds.
If he is buried in Lexington Cemetery, no record has been found and there is no gravestone.
Another interesting bit of information about him is an application for a headstone for him as a veteran. It was made by my aunt, one of my dad's sisters, but she scrambled a lot of the information, including saying he served in the wrong war, so the application was denied. The record and a photo of the original is attached to him on my tree at Ancestry.
Again, thank you "cousin"

Your Welcome, Reynolds, it was my honor to do so. Thanks for your acknowledgement. Happy New Year to you and your family,
|Phil||Westview photo request|
I would like to help you find your photo request at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
Westview is massive – the largest cemetery in the whole Southeast. Would you please help me by calling the cemetery office at 404-755-6611 to find out whether the grave is marked with a monument or marker or both AND what the section and lot numbers are.
Then I will gladly look.
The office is reluctant to give out that information to non-relatives.

You are very welcome. I am glad to help.
|Alice||Miller Mays ,Jr. , Greenwood Town Cemetery|
Since you were a cousin of Miller's, could you please tell me if Mildred Smith Mays was the wife of Miller Mays, Jr. I think they must have been separted, because I don't recall meeting him when we visited Mildred when her father passed away. She was my mother's first cousin. I know her last name was Mays. They are both buried in the Greenwood Town Cem., but not together. I do not want to add him as a spouse if my info is not correct.
Hoping you can help me. Thanks very much.

|Robert Lockwood Mills||RE: Hello Cousin|
Hi, Reynolds! Always nice to "meet" a new cousin. I can't confirm that Mary Boardman Lima's middle name was "Louise." It might have been, but I never knew that. I also understood (possibly wrongly) that her only sibling was an older sister, Helen Boardman (Bogert).
My grandmother, Enid Lima Lockwood, was very proud of her ancestry. Her grandmother, Mary Lyman Lord Boardman, lived to attend her marriage in 1910 to my grandfather, Edward Harkness Lockwood (1885-1951), dying two years later in 1912 (as indicated).
Mary Lyman Lord Boardman was the daugter of Henry Edwin Lord, who lived in Litchfield, CT. The Lords' next-door neighbor was Rev. Lyman Beecher, whose children included Harriet Beecher Stowe and Rev. Henry Ward Beecher.
Interestingly, when Lynde Lord, Sr. (Mary's great-grandfather) freed his last slave in 1801 (Connecticut having outlawed the passage of slaves by inheritance), she went next door and was a (paid) domestic for the Beechers. Candace helped raise Harriet and Henry after their mother died.
My grandmother was apparently confused by the fact that her grandmother (Mary Lyman Lord Boardman) and her great-great-grandmother, Mary Lyman Lord, had the same name. That's because Henry Edwin Lord named his daughter after his own mother. It took me a while to figure this out.
I live in Sun City Center, FL. I'm semi-retired. Would be happy to learn more about you.
|Tony Sivo||Dennis Taliaferro|
I have found his wife's (Willie Mae) grave in the Dawn Section of Rose Hill. However, I have walked the entire cemetery over the last 17 months and could not find Dennis. Perhaps I just missed it or his grave is unmarked.
If you know the exact location if his grave, please let me know and I will check it. If you do not know where it is, please contact the cemetery office. They should be able to give you the grave's location.

I got you some pictures today per your request. Sorry it took me so long. If I put too many let me know and I will get rid of any you don't want on there, ok?
They were way up in the very top tier. Thank goodness for zoom lenses, right? :-]
I put picture captions on a couple of the pictures if you care to click on the pictures to see that.
