Bio Photo I love spending time in cemeteries, I find it very peaceful - despite being attacked by blackbirds several times! I'm very thankful to Find A Grave and the wonderful volunteers here for bringing me closer to my ancestors.

Just wanted to let you know that I am in the process of adding Sadie Lanier to FindAGrave. I have linked her to her parents- Matthew Cornelius Lanier and Kitty Appie Thompson Lanier. Let me know if you would like her to be transferred to your care.

William & Inez Lanier
YAY! Folks at Woodlawn finally located the grave sites for William and Inez Lanier. As I mentioned, their records are spotty due to several fires over the years, but they found them and I have posted photos.

RE: Sarah & Sampson
HI NADINE, THANK'S FOR RESPONDING TO MY INQUIRY ABOUT THE GRAVESITES OF SARAH AND SAMPSON.WHEN I WENT TO THE CEMETARY WHERE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE, I COULDN'T FIND THEM. SOME PARTS OF THE CEMETARY WAS SO OVERGROWN WITH WEED'S, I WAS AFRAID TO WALK INTO THEM, BECAUSE I AM SO SCARED OF SNAKES.WE EMAILED THE LITTLE CHURCH TO SEE IF THEY KNEW WHERE THEIR GRAVES WERE, BUT WE GOT NO RESPONSE. IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE WHO WOULD KNOW, I SURE WOULD LOVE TO TALK TO THEM. I PLAN TO GO BACK TO THE CEMETARY WHEN IT GET'S WARMER. MAYBE I'LL GET LUCKY THIS TIME. LOVE BARBARA

RE: Earl McKinnon Morgan
NadineG,

I have Earl McKinnon Morgan's Father, Frederick Rees Morgan, and his Mother, Jane McKinnon.

I also have his Grandparents, Frederick John Morgan & Mary Rees.

I'll put the information I have up on Earl's memorial sometime today.

I also found a newspaper article that mentions Earl M. Morgan, which may or may not be about
Earl McKinnon Morgan. Here's a link to the article:

DEAR NADINE.
I WENT TO THE MOUNT PLEASANT CHURCH CEMETARY LAST SUNDAY, AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO LOCATE GRANDPA SAMPSON'S AND SARAH'S GRAVES. DO YOU KNOW IN WHAT PART OF THE CEMETARY THEY'RE BURIED? THE CEMETARY SEEMED TO BE ON 3 OR 4 LEVELS. THERE WAS ONE PART OF THE LOWER LEVEL THAT HADN'T BEEN MOWED IN A GOOD WHILE.I DIDN'T WANT TO GET IN THERE BECAUSE I'M SCARED TO DEATH OF SNAKES. I WAS WONDERING IF WE WERE AT THE RIGHT PLACE.IS THERE TWO MOUNT PLESANT CHURCHES IN YANCEY COUNTY? I WOULD APPRECIATE IT SO MUCH IF YOU COULD HELP ME WITH THIS. OR IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO MIGHT KNOW FOR SURE WHERE THEIR GRAVES ARE.I WANT SO MUCH TO TAKE THEM FLOWERS. THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE.LOVE COUSIN BARBARA
