The earth will never be the same again.
Rock, water, tree, iron share this grief
As distant stars participate in pain.
A candle snuffed, a falling star or leaf,
A dolphin death, O this particular loss
Is Heaven-mourned; for if no angel cried,
If this small one was tossed away as dross,
The very galaxies then would have lied.
How shall we sing our love's song now
In this strange land where all are born to die?
Each tree and leaf and star show how
The universe is part of this one cry,
That every life is noted and cherished,
And nothing loved is ever lost or perished.

I currently live in Charleston, South Carolina

A Virtual Cemetery created by: Martin Douglas Packer

Description: THIS IS A WORK-IN-PROGRESS; IN VIEW OF THE LEVEL OF INTEREST IN THEM, AND ALSO THE COMPLEXITY OF THEIR RELATIONSHIPS - I AM PUTTING IT ONTO THE INTERNET AND WELCOME ANY COMMENTS "In fact, the true centre of the group was Cambridge University, where their brother Thoby (Stephen) had met a number of intellectuals who had come under the influence of G.M. Moore, whose Principia Ethica (1903) had made a serious impression on undergraduates who formed a group called the ‘Cambridge Apostles'. He propounded a notion of ethics which rested on the pursuit of friendship, happiness, and the cultivation of the intellect." "The group had ten core members:Clive Bell, art critic ; Vanessa Bell, Post-impressionist painter ; E.M. Forster, fiction writer ; Roger Fry, art critic and Post-impressionist painter ; Duncan Grant, Post-impressionist painter ; John Maynard Keynes, economist ; Desmond MacCarthy, literary journalist = IS BURIED IN 'ASCENSION' ; Lytton Strachey, biographer ; Leonard Woolf, essayist and non-fiction writer ; Virginia Woolf, fiction writer and essayist. Total = 29?

Leroy H. Hall (1852 - 1907)

Would you have any info. on family of Leroy H. Hall and Eliza his wife? Was just curious as to why you would be showing their gravestone unless you have some connection. I believe this Leroy H. Hall is a nephew to my gtgt grandfather, Thomas R. Carter (1820 - 1892), whose family hails from Edgefield Co., SC. If you can share any info. I sure would appreciate it. Been researching the Carter family since the 70's at least. Many thanks for your time. My email address is:

Martin family New Hope, Lincoln Co. Georgia

Do you know who Mary Martin, 8-14-1844 ---6-1-1923 was? She is buried next to James R. Martin 1811-1898 in New Hope Baptist Church cemetery in Lincoln Co. Georgia. I am attempting to trace my Martin ancestry and she is not listed on any trees. James R. Martin was my gr gr gr grandfather.

Thanks for your help.

RE: Woodward Grave Stone
Great, I just added a profile photo. Everyone says I look just like my grandpa Woodward. Some other info you may already know. Fred and Viva had four daughters, youngest to oldest, Vivian, Marjorie, Carol, and Lois. They all were promoted to Glory in the following order, Carol, Lois, Marjorie and most recently Vivian. Cancer was the reason for all passing, including Grandma and Grandpa.

Fred Schulz, ( not only my grandpa's first name but my Father's first name as well)
