Ludie Blakely #11049411
I like to read the old newspapers at the Library of Congress website. Today, I ran across a lovely wedding announcement for Ludy {sic} James Blakely and Edwardina Blalock in the Edgefield Advertiser (Edgefield, SC) of 12/6/1916. It sounds like it was a lovely affair and attended by a great number of people. I thought you might like to see it.

Abner Jones
Hi, Robin.

My name is Sharon Smith Logan and I am the 5th great granddaughter of Abner Jones and Esther Louisa Johnson. Abner was the youngest child of William Jones and Mary Whitlock Jones and he was the executor of his father's will along with his brother Richard. The will states that William Jones left a legacy to his grandchildren (not named) who were the children of Moses Jones deceased. I added an edit that you will be getting sent to you to omit Moses from Abner's name. Also Mary Whitlock Jones died in 1825. I have her estate records and visited their graves in the 1ate 1990s. If you don't mind, can you can transfer Abner, Esther, William and Mary to me? I could add a biography for each of them. William's will was probated on Sept 15, 1823, Greenville District, SC.

Thank you for your hard work.

Treacles Creek Cemetery
Thank you for the photo of John Runyon tombstone at Treacles Creek Cemetery in Champaign County, Ohio. Do you have any idea if there are any records of people buried there without tombstones?

This Mary Jane McKinney Deatherage's parents are James Russell and Eleanor Black McKinney. The Mary Jane McKinney, daughter of William and Nancy McPherson McKinney, moved with her parents to Douglas County, Kansas in the early 1850s, and married a James Reed in 1856. I have been continuing the research of the McKinneys my father started 16+ years ago.
