Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy for over 40 years. I have started to take pictures of area cemeteries (Waukesha County area) and I am trying to submit them to various sites. I also take picture when I go on vacation to other parts of the country.

If anyone needs a photo (which has not been re-sized) or has any corrections or additions please let me know.

Lately I have been getting many, many transfer requests without the needed information. If anyone requests a transfer, use the EDIT tab and the transfer request must contain the following information: Relationship; Parents, Siblings, Grandparents And Great Grandparents (which does not include Aunts/Uncles/Cousins) and your Find-A-Grave Contributor Number. A transfer cannot be done without the contributor number. It takes up too much time for me to search out the above information.

My sister, Lois has been helping with the corrections and additions and also looking for obituaries. My sister, Julie is also helping with taking pictures.

Please transfer Christine Willhelmine Lindemann Becker 106272195 to Katherine Marnach (#48229433). She is a direct descendant and has done the family research. She is new to Findagrave and will do a good job if she has control of her family.

RE: Gravestone picture
Hi Lenora,

Thank-you for replying.

I am sloooowly working on adding Find-a-Grave memorials & pictures, mostly concentrating on my husband's Dutch ancestry. My brother is working on our German genealogy & those people buried in the Holyland area. Once in awhile I try to co-ordinate between what he has collected & those who have set-up Find-a-Grave memorials for our ancestors.

Gravestone picture
Hi Lenora,

I noticed that you took the picture of Katharina Jax Rieder's (#40417759) gravestone that she shares with her husband Hubert Rieder.

Do you have any knowledge of whom the iron or metal crosses leaning against that gravestone are commemorating? It has been awhile since I was at Holy Cross Cemetery for the purpose of looking at the Rieder gravestones (Hubert & Katharina are my great-grandparents). My brother & I could not find Hubert's parents' gravestones, but 2 metal crosses like the ones on your photo were still in the ground next to where a Rieder daughter was buried, so we thought perhaps they were over the burial site of our great-great grandparents. Whatever was embossed on the crosses was weathered away, so we couldn't be sure.

Thanks for any information you can offer, and also thanks for taking the time to photograph the gravestones. Good job!

Best regards,

Date Error
The birth and death dates listed for Mathew Holzer 26555092 in the Village of Hartland Cemetery do not agree with his shown stone, which gives his birth as 1810 and his death as 1899. Evidence supports that this is in fact Mathias Holzer, who was actually born in 1805, as indicated on his immigration record. Thanks!
