My interests - as they pertain to Find-A-Grave - are genealogy, photography, Civil War and Oregon & Santa Fe Trail history. I believe that family members, however distant, make the best managers of memorials, and therefore most of the memorials I manage are available for transfer. I try to visit at least one cemetery on each of my travels, for new memorials and new photographs, to help preserve the history of families and communities.|

|Linda Strick||Josiah Moyer|
Thank you for your email about Josiah. I have relooked at the information I have on him. In all the census records his name is spelled as Josiah. Only in the probate records and on the tombstone is it spelled Josias. Also the spelling of the last name as it was spelled by his line of the family was Moyer. Both of his sons spelled their name Moyer and that is the way it is listed on their tombstones. Those are the reasons that I chose to list his name as Josiah Moyer instead of Josias Mayer as listed on the stone. His father and brothers changed the spelling of their names to Mayer.

Hi! Almost no one fulfills photo requests at Forest Home Cemetery because the cemetery staff does not appreciate photographers and they will not supply them with burial plots.
But you can get the burial plot by calling the cemetery at 773-287-0772 or try e-mailing email@example.com if you cannot talk to someone.
Since there are over 150,000 burials at the cemetery, finding someone's grave without a plot (Section and Lot Number) is nearly impossible. Ace

Thanks for the info on where she is buried. I'm appreciative of the fact that you informed me rather than uploading a new memorial then calling me out on mine to be deleted. I try to do the same for others when I find them.

Hi DSH - Thank you so much for taking the time to take your wonderful photos. They are my great aunt and uncle. I'm sure their grandchildren, Laverne, Larry and Kevon will be very appreciative also.
|Diane Smith Battershell||RE: Melvys Eugene Bishop|
you can find that info in my database online http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=dsb&id=I72218
this shows census records for Hiram & Lillie's time in Rice county and siblings, etc. Melvys had a twin brother who grew to manhood. Hiram and Lillie may have been related further back in their lines but I didn't research back that far to find out. Hope this helps with Melvys Eugene.

You are welcome - beautiful day to walk the graves
|Bill Bodkin||grgic dups|
Not sure how transcriptions are working. However, referring to the ones that you mentioned being dups, you own them and I cannot help. That's not always the case. But since this is a Beta program we will see changes. You will have to delete one of them.

Thank you for the beautiful photos of George's tombstone. I appreciate having both the close-up image of the inscription, and the full image of the tombstone with some of the surroundings. Best wishes, Cate
