NOTE: AT THIS TIME, IT'S NOT POSSIBLE|
FOR ME TO BE ONLINE DUE TO MY HUSBAND'S
HEALTH. I DO APPRECIATE YOUR
LOVELY TOKENS YOU LEAVE FOR MY FAMILY.
PLEASE KEEP OUR FAMILY IN YOUR THOUGHTS
AND PRAYERS. MAY GOD BLESS
EACH OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
I want to thank each of you for your thoughts
and prayers. Your kindness means a great deal
to me and my family.
I'm retired, doing genealogy work & enjoy helping on the findagrave.com website. I'm a proud Okie., born & raised in Oklahoma. I am of Cherokee decent, as my Great Grandfather and Grandfather signed the Dawes Rolls. I have been doing my 'Long' family tree for years and have found so many cousins online.
It has certainly been interesting and most enjoyable meeting and hearing from new distant family members. I have learned so much about
my ancestors and their lives down through the generations, I hope to perserve their memories for future generations to come. This is why I like working on the findagrave site, hoping to help others looking for their loved ones. I have found others to be very helpful and kind to share information.
My husband and I are enjoying our church, family & early retirement.
Aren't the Grands Fun?!!!
We have two beautiful granddaughters.
Madison, 10 and Gracie 8........

|Stan Morgan||Coiner memorial|
Thanks for bringing the duplicate to my attention. I try to photograph all veteran markers and make memorials as needed & the duplication slipped by me. Cemetery records show the name to be Francis Cass Scott. I have posted to marker photo to the original memorial. Blessings to you and yours!
|Darrell and Joan Mansur||RE: Emeline Combs duplicate|
We failed to see the links. Thanks for pointing that out, Phyllis. The most important thing is that the other memorial has cemetery info, so, yes, they should be merged.
Given your profile message, we are surprised to hear back from you so soon. We hope that means good or at least better news.
Darrell and Joan (Ledbetter) Mansur
PS: As you probably know, you can request merging duplicates at "email@example.com".

I went back to the cemetery (about 4 miles from my home) and looked at the stones. They are next to the fence and hard to take. My husband took some more pics and I notices the R S E Long stone has Rhoda Long on the base. The Union Hill School was located within a half a mile of the cemetery.

There is a, R S E Long in Union Hill Cemetery, which is the same cemetery, her mother is buried. The stone states she is the daughter of Thomas and S C Long.
Memorial # 52865510
Could this be Rhoda?

I'm pretty sure there was no marker for Allen Ketron's wife. I'll look again next time I'm out there.

|Wanda||William Fortune - Duncan Cemetery|
Rebecca transferred memorial [#31550330] to me and I'm working on getting links transferred. I see that you requested a photo back in 2012 for this memorial. I'm trying to get driving directions to cemetery - maybe I can drive over to the cemetery in the near future. Wanda

|Wanda||RE: William Fortune|
Hi Phyllis: Death certificate for Wm. Fortune shows he's buried in Rowden Cemetery, however, I also found him listed in the Duncan Cemetery, Miller Co, MO. Memorial #31550330. There is no photo of stone on this memorial. This memorial was created in 2008. I will email the creator of this memorial for more info and see if we can clear this up. Sorry for the confusion. Wanda

That sounds like beautiful country & something to enjoy whenever possible. I lived in Apple Valley in 89-90 which is entirely different. All water was rationed, lots of tumbleweed, sand, cactus and very little grass. However, in the valley it was as beautiful as what you described. It surely made me appreciate our scenery in Missouri.
Take care & will talk attcha later.

Nice hearing from you & better yet about results of the ptc scan. Such exciting news that Don is doing so well with the new drug. Will U still be staying there the rest of the year/or is that unknown at this time? I suppose it doesn't make that much difference with all the great results. Youse are still in my thoughts & prayers & I'm so glad things are "coming up roses". Maybe you can enjoy a few days of "sight-seeing/pleasure" before you do return home with [it's celebration time].
My blessings always.

Forgive my delay in returning a reply and it's almost in time for a Happy Mother's day wish.
So glad UR son could join U all the way from Ireland for UR 50th Anniversary & congratulations with many more to come.
Didn't do much for Easter, but did attend a small get-together at the VFW hall & actually won a 'trivia quiz' which I'm not good at. It was nice being with friends.
The weather in St.Louis now, has turned quite hot, so naturally I'm complaining about that, since all the snow & ice has disappeared. LOL LOL
Have a great Mother's day Sunday & a very nice evening. Hello to all.
