I'm a volunteer caretaker of a small cemetery in North Texas, Noel Cemetery, near Lake Texoma, Juniper Point East.. I find so much serenity there and remember my grandfather taking care of it without the convenience of modern gas powered tools. I find it is good therapy to do this both mentally and physically. I enjoy documenting the cemetery in my hometown and hope to do a lot more whenever I finally get to retirement some day!|

Thank you for adding the additional information and linking her to her parents

Hi Brenda, it looks like we are related. Judith is my great great great grandmother, as well. My line is through her daughter, Mary Jane Dickerson and Mary's daughter Ophelia Medora Johnson, who married Robert Franklin Overstreet. I couldn't find a memorial for Thomas Jefferson Dickerson so I created one for him and have linked it Judith.
I am so glad to hear that you are taking care of the cemetery. It is wonderful to know that it has been in the family's care for all these years. I hope to visit it some day, and perhaps we could meet.
Would love to hear from you. Pam Schroeder

|BJ Winborne||RE: Winborne Family|
I'm so sorry, no I didn't know he had passed away, I have kinda lost touch with alot of the family...My grandfather was CL "Dopey" Winborne, Irma's brother,,,she would probably remember me, please give her my deepest condolences on the loss of a great man. I'm looking for any information that I can get, on the children of Joseph Clyde, and Wanda Oleta Winborne. I know the names of their 13 children, and have death dates on some, but as for bithdates, I only have my grandfather's. Any dates of birth, death or marriage, etc, that you can get me would be greatly appreciated,,,I'm hoping to get this completed and distribute copies to all the the remaining "13" and the rest of the family that I can. If you can make contact with anyone who is willing to share information, it would be greatly appreciated. You can forward my email address to anyone interested.
Thank you so much, and God Bless
Yes, I am related to the Willis Family. My mother was Janice Hortense Willis, daughter of William Newton Willis and Orra Lola Thompson. William Newton Willis was the son of Holmes Willis and the grandson of James Hamilton Willis. As you probably know, James Hamilton Willis was first married to Amanda Love and second to her sister, Elvira Love Jones.
I knew you had photographed at least some of the monuments at Willis within the last year because we buried the ashes of my aunt there not quite a year ago, and your photograph was taken after that time.
I have worked on the Willis genealogy for some years now and would enjoy hearing about your line.
By the way, I have noticed that comments are often added to Find-A-Grave entries in various cemeteries. I believe this is good provided a distinction is made regarding that which is actually on the stone and that which is added by an observer. Having said this, I do have comments which you might want to add to your Willis entries.
