|Penny Temple-Watts||Durrells in Teddington again|
Hi David, I have added George John Durrell and Mary Ann Durrell (nee Wood) and their daughter Florence Durrell. Could you please link George John (131548886) and Mary Ann Durrell (131549145) to George William Durrell as his parents. Many thanks, Penny
I was looking up Durrells in Teddington Cemetery and came across two of your transcriptions for George William Durrell and his wife Charlotte. George was my great grandfather's brother, and upon marriage Charlotte became my grandmother's Aunt Lottie. I believe George died whilst demonstrating grenades to newly enlisted soldiers and sadly the grenade didn't do what it was supposed to, and he blew himself up. George William Durrell's father was George John Durrell, a grocer whose grocery store was somewhere in Teddington.
kind regards Penny

Hi David. Think I need more than secateurs if I had a grave kit. Not only do I need to look down just in case anything is slithering past but also up! Gotta love the creepy crawlies in Aus....not.

Your very welcome David. I also notice that you have some in Lutwyche, I go there often as I'm photographing the Anzac portions. I will be more than happy to look up these for you. Regards Mary
