RE: Brown Cemetry
Thanks for the info. I was kinda thinking that you did not live here and the info was taken from a death certificate. I live in Wolfe County and have been trying to get out a photograph some of these old cemeteries that are family plots. I have found out that thru the years some have changed names since they started in the early 1900's. Others have been named the same name but have a different location. I have already done 4 different cemeteries in the Calaboose area and they are all known as Banks Family Cemetery as far as the obits and death records. I had to figure out a way to separate them. I will let you know if I find any of your memorials in a different cemetery so that you can move the memorial. I found one cemetery in Wolfe County that was known as Brown Cemetery in the early 1900's but Sarah and Samuel Banks were not in that cemetery unless they had no headstone.

Brown Cemetry
I would like to know where Brown Cemetery is in Wolfe County. I notice that you show Sarah Pelfrey Banks and her husband Samuel William Banks both buried there.

Any help appreciated.

RE: Lucy McCarty's Mom and Dad
Oh okay I see the problem. John's number is 11187418 instead of 1187418, and Mary's also has three 1's instead of 2.

Got it!!

Lucy McCarty's Mom and Dad
I just wanted to make sure these numbers were right. Her mom and dad's names are John #1187418 and Mary #1187422, but I'm coming up with Harry and Michael. I don't think that's right, is it?

Isham Beasley
I was checking to see if you would mind if I used the photo you took of Isham Beasley's Vault in Fannin County to post it on Historic Texas Cemetery group on Facebook. I will be happy to give you full credit for the picture and Find A Grave.

RE: parents
are we cousins? I have visited Clarence's grave a couple of times, since I live in CO
What would you need to accept William H. Taylor and Lavisa A. as Clarence Lee's parents? Visa short for Lavisa sounds right. especially when I have 3 yes 3 grandmother's that were called "Minnie" and yes they used that name on her sons death certificate, even though it was NOT her name on her birth cert. was that confusing for years... and did you know that the soc. sec # on Clarence's death cert he changed his name and is parents name to TURNER. after I saw Billie's memorial I knew where he got it. My Mom kept in touch with Billie. and I still have the letter of Clarence passing.

hope to hear from you soon,
Your Cuz'

RE: parents
He is my grandfather. I have his death cert., was my first clue as to his father and mother. It says: "William Taylor and Visa Lee" parents.
DOB: Sept.20, 1889 born Sedalia MO/ also I have William Taylor and Visey Lee marriage record. Hopefully it is the correct couple. married Sedalia MO. on sept 3 1872 and then the census records.I have them showing Clarence and the ages are correct and the same "head and wife".
The 1900 census is the best from Oklahoma. and then the 4 children only move back to Sedalia and are on the 1910 census. so I wondered why the mom and dad were not on it. They were all living with the older brother James M. So when I started my search again as to why on Choctaw land? I found out they were "Whitemen just renting and farming" and then I found the graves for a William H Taylor and Lavisa A. Taylor and 2 of their children who had died young. Lot of good matching INFO there. So I and several other gene buff's feel I have toppled this block wall. Sure hope you agree. Cause William H. Taylor's Dad is the next Block wall and I think it is never going to come down. Family Search has a couple of TREES on it that have this info as well for Clarence Lee, mother's maiden name LEE.
