Robert Brown
I saw that you have a request for a photograph of Robert Brown's tombstone, St Luke's Church Cemetery, Mobile AL - FYI, St Luke's Episcopal Church does not have a cemetery. Apparently there have been some cremated ashes scattered in the church garden and someone has created a cemetery for these. If you would like further info on the church, see this site:

RE: Marvin Coldiron/Blue Mound Cemetery
Wow,really. That sounds beautiful. Looks like he was very loved. I saw that his life was cut short from an accident. Yea,if it's not obvious, I tried to dry off the stone, but then all you see are smeared marks. Well then the rain just wouldn't corporate. It's a pretty little cemetery, and a lovely place in the country. Sorry I couldn't do better. But you know it never works in your favor! Take care.

Marvin Coldiron/Blue Mound Cemetery
Sorry that this is not the greatest of photo's. Of coures we get to the cemetery and it just poured down. I live 70 miles from this cemetery so I doubt I will be back in that area. I was only there because my husband(truck driver) was held over in Chillicothe. So I drove out to spend the day with him. Anyways, I won't be offended if you request another photo. Just let me know if someone gets better, and I will glady delete them. I'm posting a couple of them on his memorial. Gorgeous stone, just hard to photograph!

Yes, I think this is Amanda's 3rd husband Richard Moody. This marriage seems to have ended in a divorce. If I remember correctly, they were only married a year and half or something like that.
Thanks, Shirley :)

I'm not familiar with where Saint Luke's Cemetery is located. Can you send me the street address and I'll try to get these headstones photographed. I knew this couple when I went to church at Saint Luke's Episcopal Church back over 20 years ago but I sure don't know about any cemetery there at the church. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback
I have a list of cemeteries to offer to the fix forum but people tell me that is slow. It would be better for people to get it right in the first place. Some of those duplicate cemeteries are empty or emptying because I have been telling people they had posted to a phantom duplicate. Latitude and longitude map a cemetery in a modern way, but I think it is important to also reference the the little family ones the way they first appeared on maps, and that is by Township, Range, Section, part of section. Marvin Wilhite, historican for the Saline County Historical Society, told me yesterday he had just finished correlating the 1876 plat map data with the 1896 plat data with recent plat maps and the 1967 Saline County History. The old plat maps have nearly all the family cemeteries marked. To locate by the traditional method, (Township, Range, Section) would be a big plus and help people easily see if the cemetery is really on the landscape. You can also use a current plat map with roads marked to find it. Because of postal consolidation, half the county has a Marshall mailing address. People should use local place names on cemetery pages instead of the county seat town that may be miles away. Those local place names are all menu options, so I often suspect that someone listing a cemetery as "Marshall" when it isn't in or near Marshall may be lost.
