I was born and raised in St. Louis which makes me a die-hard Cardinals fan. I've always been interested in history and geneology, and in particular the preservation and documentation of old cemeteries. Often the old headstones is the only documentation of these peoples lives.|
At the moment I am attempting to photo document Lakewood Park Cemetery in St. Louis. If you see errors please use the edit tab provided. I will try to make any corrections or updates as soon as I can.
I am currently trying to document my own family's history and the families I am interested in are the Matlocks, Humes, Graddys and Gregorys.
Regarding the memorials I have created, I am more than willing to transfer these to those folks who are related and want to care for them. My goal is not to just create memorials and keep them under my name - it is to get these graves documented before the stones disintegrate. Even in the best kept cemeteries, documentation is lost, stones are worn away and the information regarding these folks may be gone for ever. So if you see a family member in my memorials, please let me know and I'll be glad to transfer.

Thank you, for putting his grave on here. I have looked everywhere even ancestry and didn't find him. Thank you so much for taking the time to remember all of them.
|Jeff Hall||Thank you|
Hi Sharon, thank you for the headstone photo added for Pvt Paul M Roberts, great work!

When you photographed the headstone for Alma (Find A Grave # 133422298) did you happen to notice a stone for her husband, Alpheus Garfield Weeks, in the same area? His Missouri Death Certificate # 36398 states he is buried at Lakewood Park Cemetery. But we all know that those records could be wrong. Just wondering?

Hi my name is Debra and Frieda is a g grandmother. Thank you so much for making the memorial and taking a picture of headstone. We have just started making our family tree and this has helped a lot. Was wondering if you would transfer her memorial to Debra 48486292. Thank you so much for what you do..

I just want to say a great BIG Thank You!! I really do appreciate your dedication and am looking forward to spring so I can start documenting these memorials for others. Like you said the stones fade...but family can still stay connected and learn about where they come from. Also sadly some of my relatives are buried so far away I can't just go when I want. So again, Thank you for all you do. With most sincere gratitude~Kim

Hi :) Can you copy your photo of Frank's gravestone, and make a memorial for his wife Kate (Reese) Hemker? She's not listed in the cemetery. Thanks
