What began as a way to memorialize only members of my family has turned into something larger and seemingly open-ended. Most of my memorials are not for my relatives.|
I have done extensive work in the following cemeteries:
Calvary Cemetery, West Chicago, Illinois
Concordia Cemetery, Forest Park, Illinois
East Batavia Cemetery, Batavia, Illinois
Glen Oak Cemetery, West Chicago, Illinois
Kaneville Cemetery, Kaneville, Illinois
Marywood Cemetery, Aurora, Illinois
Oakwood Cemetery, West Chicago, Illinois
Resurrection Cemetery, Geneva, Illinois
River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, Illinois
Saint John the Baptist Cemetery, Winfield, Illinois
West Batavia Cemetery, Batavia, Illinois
I have tried to add as much information as is readily available. I gladly will make corrections or add information. Please do not use flowers for these purposes. Doing so is against FindAGrave guidelines.
Feel free to use any of my photographs for non-commercial use. Giving credit where credit is due would be appreciated.
Thank you to those who have added photographs and flowers to my memorials. They are appreciated. Please let me know that you have done so. I would like to see the photographs and flowers myself.
"The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."
“The evil that is in the world always comes of ignorance, and good intentions may do as much harm as malevolence, if they lack understanding. On the whole, men are more good than bad; that, however, isn't the real point, but they are more or less ignorant, and it is this that we call vice or virtue; the most incorrigible vice being that of an ignorance that fancies it knows everything and therefore claims for itself the right to kill. The soul of the murderer is blind; and there can be no true goodness nor true love without the utmost clear-sightedness.”
Albert Camus, The Plague

These two men are "brothers" on this site, but how do you know? Herman Haack 1845-1929 Oakwood cemetery & Bernhardt August Haack (1853-1927) Concordia cemetery. I'm trying to find the tying link. Much Regards.

|Marcia Moyer||George and Jennie McDonald|
I was wondering if you would transfer memorials for my grandparents George McDonald 362187845 and Jennie McDonald 62187823, to me. I am so glad you added the plot info to the graves. It recently helped the family on the burial of ashes on Jennie McDonald's grave. All the McDonald's in the East Batavia Cemetery are my family. Thank you so much for adding them all to findagrave.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will look. For some reason the addition of this group is giving me a headache. I will keep trying to get it right.
Thanks for the info. Her memorial has been updated.

|Kurt Johnson||Herman Langosch|
OK, I switched the children over to Herman Langosch, and deleted my place holder. Thanks!
|LaVonne Eckstrom||Glen Oak Cemetery|
Thank you for helping me get the correct Glen Oak Cemetery documented. My options didn't give me a Westchester, IL, address and that caused my confusion.
Appreciate your helpfulness.
|Eva Myrick||Orville Vincent Grave site|
Sincerely appreciate you taking the time to search for this grave. Even though you weren't able to find Orville's, you did say that you found 5 others in this plot. Were any of them with the surname of Vincent, or known to be related? Thank you again. Eva Myrick--Chehalis, WA
