Bio Photo Hello and thanks for visiting our page.

We are Matt and Siss Aker.

We have been researching our genealogy for many years and we're glad to have found this site! We've visited countless cemeteries and taken hundreds of photos in the northern and central parts of Pennsylvania.

We live in Cambria County now and are focusing on Siss' TREESE/TREES/EBY family heritage, most having worked for the once mighty Pennsylvania Railroad!

In addition to genealogy research, we collect old toy trucks of the pressed-steel variety. Our collection is mostly pre-1965, compromised of Nylint, Structo and Tonka. Pre-1962 Tonka Toys are our favorite!

If ever researching this area don't be afraid of an old Cadillac in a graveyard, it might be us as we have two! Stop and say HELLO!

RE: Treese
Two Nepper women (Barbara and Elizabeth) married Treese men (John and Peter). They are sisters to my GGG grandfather, Charles Nepper. I've researched their lines pretty far down just to try to sort them out because there were so many of them and it was pretty confusing. I'd love to share information if they are the lines you are researching. Let me know! Thanks also for the update to Ida's memorial. I'll delete my duplicate.

Saint Joseph's in Hastings
Matt&Sissy, Can you please clean out the duplicate entries for this cemetery. I am headed out to St. Joe's to take pictures of the headstones and only want to post pictures once. There are SEVERAL duplicates (possible merged pages?) for the cemetery. Thanks :) Jan

Memorial Page
You have prepared a Memorial page for a Daisy Humphreys buried in the Wilmore United Brethren Church Cemetery, Cambria, Pennsylvania. A distant relative of mine, Harry Orwell Humphreys was her husband. I was wondering if you were related to this person and would have any additional information on her husband, Harry or on Daisy. I show Daisy (Ashe) Humphreys, born 1 April 1877. Harry, her husband, was born November 1875 and they were married in Pennsylvania in 1899. Daisy's parents were Tobias and Rebecca (Hess) Ashe and Harry's parents were William H. and Ann (Francis) Humphreys. I am related thru the Humphreys side. Vera Humphreys Savage

Memorial Page
Matt & Sissy,
You have prepared a Memorial Page for a William Donaldson. The cemetery is in Mundys Corner. There is no information on his tomb stone. I have reason to believe that this man is my late cousins father. I wonder if he is related to you or if you have any information on him. I would appreciate anything that you can tell me about this particular person or his grave site. Thank you so much

Susan Shaffer Grave Stone Picture
Thank you so much for going to take a picture for me of Susan's tombstone. I really appreciated it. It would of been really hard for me to get there and do it. I think this is a great idea for people to take pictures for other people.
