Since 2009 I have been working on preserving the Greenwood Cemetery. I started out taking care of a few family members there and then found more and more. I am related somehow to almost 1/2 of the cemetery.
I have been going through the cemetery stone by stone trying to physically place all the graves. I'm also trying to add names to the stones that are unreadable, which is very very hard! Sometimes I find a stone which just says mother or father even
I have been going through obituaries, church records, cemetery books, county birth records, funeral home records, and death records just trying to make sure every one is found and taken care of.
If you are within the FAG guidelines I will GLADLY transfer too.
I'm just about done with the cemetery now. :D
FAG Rules Regarding Submitting Information / Creating Memorials
Can I add an obituary to my interment listing?
Please do NOT add photographs from obituary notices (unless you, personally took the photo), as they are protected by copyright law. Find A Grave reserves the right to remove obituary notices and photographs from memorial records. Similarly, you may NOT scan an obituary and add it as a photograph to a memorial record.
FAG Rules regarding duplicates:
** If you find a memorial has been added but has incomplete or incorrect information, instead of creating a duplicate memorial you should use the tools provided to submit corrections, additions or a transfer request via the "Suggest A Correction" link under the 'Edit' tab on the upper right of the memorial. YOU SHOULD NEVER DELIBERATELY CREATE A DUPLICATE MEMORIAL.
FAG guidelines regarding photos:
** Not obtaining permission before using others photos is a violation of copyright law and is against Find A Grave policy.
I found a photo of a relative on Find A Grave, can I use it?
Photos posted to memorials on Find A Grave are copyrighted by the member who submitted the photos. Lifting the photo to use elsewhere would be a violation of copyright. You must obtain written permission from the member to use any photo for your own use. In general if you did not take the photo yourself, you do not hold the copyright to the photo.
"I don't want to submit my information and then see it for sale here or on another site. Will Find A Grave always remain a free site?
Find A Grave has been around for over ten years. Our stated goal has always been to remain a free site for everyone. We have no plans on changing that. Additionally, we claim no copyright or 'ownership' of any photos that are posted to Find A Grave. THEY REMAIN YOUR PROPERTY. If we were to turn evil and start charging people to view YOUR photos against your wishes, you would have every LEGAL RIGHT to demand that we remove them. But we're not planning on turning evil, so it shouldn't be an issue."
Do NOT steal photos from findagrave to use in your family trees on Ancestry.com or for that matter MYHERITAGE.com either.
Do not copy, or post to any website, any of the pictures that I've added to Find-a-Grave Memorials.

Not a problem. I appreciate you putting the death certificates with the memorials!
|Patty Frank||RE: mary briner|
Could you please remove the death certificate from Mary (Hiney) Briner's memorial (#141398280)? The death certificate is for her father. Thanks.
|Patty Frank||RE: charles hiney|
Cemetery should have been Greenlawn in Roaring Spring. Thanks!
|PMH6179||RE: Samuel Mets|
I have followed Pearl thru 1930 with her other husbands.
I also have several newspaper clippings, with several variances, regarding the blizzard of 1906.
Pearl's father George W Barker, I typed up a summary of his civil war file with a ton of history.
Please email me at AzScribe@q.com and I will be happy to share.

|Irene DeLozier Charalambous||James DeLozier and Ellen (Elder) DeLozier|
Hello, my name is Irene (DeLozier) Charalambous, and I am seeking the gravesite of my 2nd great grandparents James DeLozier and Eleonora (Ellen) Elder DeLozier. I am currently researching my family history, and I can find very little about them. I see one of the memorials you posted (Find A Grave Memorial# 92376085); however, the birth and death don't seem to match mine. (If this is indeed my 2nd great grandfather.) The information; however, does seem to be somewhat close to the birth/death of Ellen (Elder) DeLozier:
Born: Sep 26, 1831
Died: Feb 21, 1900
Below is a copy of Ellen (Elder) DeLozier's obitiuary for your reference:
OBIT: Ellen (ELDER) DELOZIER, 1900, Altoona, Blair County, PA
Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by JRB
Copyright 2007. All rights reserved.
MRS. ELLEN DELOZIER.
Death of an Aged Lady, at Her Home on Twenty-first Avenue.
At 10 o'clock last night Mrs. Ellen Delozier died at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. J. P. Behe, 1419 Twenty-first avenue, of a complication of diseases, her illness extending over a period of three months.
Mrs. Delozier, whose maiden name was Ellen Elder, was born on September 26, 1831, in Elder township, Cambria county, where she resided almost all her life. Her parents were among the early settlers of that county. In May, 1858, she was married to Mr. James Delozier, who died twenty years ago. She was the mother of nine children, eight of whom survive as follows: R. W., of Glasgow; A. A. and T. A., of Hastings; John D., Mrs. J. P. Behe, Mrs. Mark Weakland, Mrs. Michael Hoover, of this city, and Mrs. Philip Kirkpatrick, who resides on the old homestead. She was a devout Christian all her life and was a member of St. John's Catholic church.
The funeral will take place from the residence of her son-in-law, J.P. Behe, 1419 Twenty-first avenue, on Saturday morning at 8.30 o'clock.
The cortege will proceed to St. John's church where mass will be celebrated, after which the interment will be made in St. John's cemetery.
Morning Tribune, Thursday, February 22, 1900.
Could this be their gravesite? Not sure how much info you have related to this memorial.
Thank you in advance for any response!
|Martin Tichenor||Salem Christian Church Cemetery Duplicates|
In regard to your message of 12/28/2014, I have looked at the memorial and others at the Salem Christian Church Cemetery and recognize that there are a few duplicates. It appears in most, if not all cases, your memorials predate mine.
Please advise how you wish these duplicates be resolved.
Have a pleasant day.
