I am basically on a mission to "bring my family back together." Our family was like most families. Very close, but scattered because of marriage...jobs...and yes even WWII. I want to bring my departed ones, back together again here on Find a Grave! I also want to leave stories and photos behind for future generations! I believe one of the the greatest gifts we can leave our children is a link to their past!|

|Ryan Shaffer||RE: Hello, from Distant Family|
I'm from James, Sr.'s side. I'll let you know if I find out anything for certain. Did you know you're eligible for membership to the Daughters of the Anerican Revolution? The DAR already has Cornelius documented. I don't know if it interests you, but I just thought you should know.

|Ryan Shaffer||Hello, from Distant Family|
I'm doing genealogy research, and I noticed you had information on Cornelius Roberts; he's my 9th-great-grandfather.
So first of all, I wanted to say hello. Second, may I please know your lineage on the Robertses' side? Third, do you have any credible sources detailing Cornelius's birth? I've seen different birthyears (1749, 1745, c. 1744, before 1746) and different birthplaces (England, Virginia, Ireland, Wales). I can't find anything more specific (other than probably Deal, Kent, England or Pittsylvania/Henry Co., VA), but the most commonly cited are those two birthplaces and either 1744 or 1749 for the birthyear.

|Herman Weiland||Still Active???|
I have sent you the obituaries for Dan Roberts and Minnie Roberts 16507906 and 16507918 but you haven't posted them or updated information. If you aren't going to maintain then please transfer them back to Annoymous, she is very prompt on updates. You can gather relatives in a virtual cemetery without the responsibility to maintain.
|Tracy Crow||RE: Are you active?|
Darlene, Thank you so much for the updates. It's greatly appreciated. As far as the Roberts in Clayton, I am from Daniel's first wife, Elizabeth, child John.
|Tracy Crow||Are you active?|
I've sent a few requests in the last few years. I wondered if you are still active on Find A Grave? If you are, would you mind updating some of the requests? or if you are willing to transfer, I'll be happy to manage them.

Hi Darlene, My Grandfather, James F House, is buried in Clayton Cemetary. While browsing this AM I found "Find a Grave" website. In further searching, I found a picture of his tombstone. It has been my understanding that there was not a marker of any kind at his grave. Do you know when it was put in place and who had it placed? I'm thrilled there is a tombstone as our family in the past has discussed having one placed. Many thanks for the picture and any info you can provide. Marie Holmes (firstname.lastname@example.org)
