Retired teacher and Federal agent. Interests include genealogy, history and world travel. I sometimes visit old cemeteries and take photos of all the gravestones there. If there is not a findagrave memorial, I create one based on the tombstone. ANY relative or family member, friend or interested person is more than welcome to request transfer of these memorials.
PET PEEVE: Find A Grave "number" collectors who have no interest in genealogy or family links and refuse to transfer to relatives unless they meet so-called "findagrave guidelines". You know who you are - shame on you! | |

Hello, I cannot figure out how to delete this pic off the manasota grave site off of my dads page . if u could please take down the manasota grave site on my fathers site, Siegfried Freddy Kursawe . He is not buried there, he wasn't even buried till recently and that is at skyway memorial . Thanks so much :) | | | Carolyn

I have transferred both Luella and John Mazurs links to you. I have been a member of Find a Grave for 8 years. The MAJORITY of the names I have listed are not related to me. I have entered them and took the time to photograph their headstones to be able to help their loved ones. There was a time when I was on here daily entering and transferring but because of situations beyond my control I am unable to promptly be here whenever I get a request. I apologize for the delay and I assure you I AM NOT a Number Collector and I am always willing to transfer. I am sure you can agree this takes a lot of time and effort on all of us who volunteer, and I am sure you are appreciative of the pictures that are also included on your loved ones pages. (for that you are welcome). I am sorry you was both perplexed and disappointed, the problem is now corrected. Please don't assume the worst and categorize all of us volunteers. Thanks, Kyle. I wouldn't count on that update of the "History of Lincoln Co." It's been in the works for at least 20 years.
