Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (ALNC)...

Section 6A opened in February 2012
Section 11 opened in August 2012
Section 12 opened in October 2012
Section 6B opened in November 2012

I'll upload photographs of these Sections (without photo requests) as the grounds-keepers lay sod. Thank you for your patience.

In 2012, they completed new interments in Sections 5, 9A and several of the cremation walls in Columbariums 5 and 6 (except for interment of spouses and dependents, of course).

August 3, 2012...

Please do not post "jpegs" of text to my memorial pages (for example: pictures of; obituaries, death notices, news paper articles, death certificates, or remembrance cards). This information belongs in either the bio field or flowers/tokens. Forward the information and I'll ensure it is apporpriately added to the memorial page.

Do not post biographical information in the Flowers section. You should submit the information using the "Edit" tab and "Suggest a correction..." link so that the information can be properly added to the main memorial page.

Do not post non-photograph .jpegs to the photo section such as military emblems, membership emblems, flags, candles, etc. These type of .jpegs shoud be placed in the Flowers/Token field.

(c)opyrights, etcetera...

Please respect my photographs, they are for your personal use only. Do not copy them to this or any other website; do not sell them, or otherwise attempt to profit from their use without written permission. Do NOT charge your relatives a handling/printing fee for a copy of your family tree if it includes one of my photographs.

In summary, do NOT take credit for any photograph that you did not physically take yourself.

About me...

I live in north-central Illinois, within 2 miles of the intersection of I-80 and I-55. I enjoy researching my family tree (8,900+ and growing).

My father's family is from Allegheny and Armstrong counties in western Pennsylvania. My mother's family is from Charles County in Maryland.

We have limbs, branches and roots that stretch across the United States. Most however are in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and California.

I enjoy taking cemetery, historical, and other photographs. I am willing to assist with reasonable gravesite and non-gravesite photo requests; I will consider the unreasonable requests.

To borrow a line from Paladin's business card and the 1957-1962 TV series...

Thank you so much for taking and posting their head stone. They are my grandparents and I live in MN now so don't get to visit as often as I would like. In fact until just today when I saw you posted Grandma's inscription I had not seen it, I haven't been down since her funeral! Again thank you so much. Searching for info for my Grandpa I found your picture of his stone and now take pictures for the site too!

RE: Calverton Updates
Oh no, I don't think you were picking on me. Seriously, thank you for the updates. I was getting frustrated with the VA website. I too, like to make sure they're as complete and as accurate as possible. You send me as many SAC's as you like. :)

Take care,
Emily
