I am a family history researcher living in Northeast Georgia. While visiting family cemeteries I often take additional photos of older grave markers and post on the Find a Grave website with the intention of helping others who are doing family research. I will gladly add additional information to memorials that I have placed and also will transfer management of any memorials to direct descendants. Please use the edit tab and "suggest a correction" to do this.
My own family lines include Singletary, Everett, Walker, Dixon, Wynn, Lawrence, Lawson and Barnett in Georgia; and DeGange, DiMaggio, and Messina, and Piazza in Connecticut.
Addendum: I have NEVER deleted a memorial of anyone that I have placed on this website. My only intention of adding a memorial is to help other family researchers. I am always happy to learn that my efforts to photograph an old marker and document it were helpful to someone else. This is a wonderful Website, yet is only as successful as those who have the right intention. Thank you.
Joel Barnett Did you see the memorial to Joel on findagrave at the Barnett Cemetery in Noxubee County, Miss. ? and also his dau. Elizabeth Ponder's memorial linked to it. I am not saying it is correct info. The date of daughter's birth seems off to be dau. of Ann Crawford. Says she was only child of his Crawford wife who was a cousin, but first name not given. Eliz. has a DAR Marker. R.J.
Joel Crawford I got the name of cemetery from someone's Crawford Tree on FamilyTree Maker.com. (google: Joel Crawford, born 1736 Virginia, died 1788 Georgia)I don't know if it is correct info. A few months ago, a Crawford descendant who lives near the cemetery was planning to go there and find out if Joel's name was on any of the tombstones there. He never got in touch with me again and I lost his e-mail. Joel could be buried there even if there is no tombstone with his name or a readable tombstone. I looked at the cemetery on Earth google and it looks to be on private property. R.J.
Findagrave Photos andebe, thank you for all your contributions to the Findagrave website. I would like permission to use your photographs of my relatives' grave sites in my Family Tree files. I use the photos as source media and will gladly give you credit for your work. Becky

Benson & Mary Voyles Thanks for taking the pictures of the headstones. I know I am a little late in thanking you. I overlooked Find A Grave success message. Benson was my second grand uncle. It helps when people like you go to the effort finding and posting for others. Thanks Paula
