I first got involved with Find A Grave while researching my ancestry. I have found this to be a very useful and respectful site, with, for the most part, very approachable and helpful members. |
The surnames in my lineage are: Aiken, Gray, Blumenauer, Schaeffer, Monroe, Holtzberg, Smitley, Gerberich, Miller, Lowery, Wise, Jenkins, Hester, Weathers, Kline, and many more. These family lines are mainly located in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana.
Please know that I appreciate everyone who responds to one of my requests for a photo or a link on a memorial, SO much! I work on "projects" in different locations from time to time, and enter a number of memorials while doing this, that I don't always get to thank each of you separately. Please understand, I mean no disrespect. I appreciate any and all help very, very much!
If I have entered a memorial for a relative of yours, that is not a relative of mine (or is a closer relation to you than to me) I will gladly transfer ownership of the memorial over to you. I enter a memorial to honor the person, NOT to increase my numbers. Please just contact me and let me know that you are related.
Also, I never intentionally enter a duplicate memorial. I do try my best to make sure one has not already been entered. If you find that I have entered a duplicate, please let me know and I will remove it, and will provide any additional information I had entered on mine to the original memorial.
If you would like to contact me directly, you may email me at aiken(dot)cari(at)gmail(dot)com.
One other note: if you send me a message or suggest a correction, but provide no way for me to respond to you by not allowing messages on your profile, I will ignore your request. I have had several people leave some particularly rude and incorrect suggestions. If you cannot communicate like a mature, polite adult then please do not bother contacting me.

Thank you for searching the cemetery for Alberta grave. I appreciate you effort to take a photo for me. Evidently she just doesn't have a tombstone.

Please call Ft Lincoln at 1-301-887-4930 and get Locations for your loved ones, 2 requests at a time. Add them to your photo request and you will be more likely to have them fulfilled. You may have to call several times to get that info. They are very hard to get info from.

|Shelley McMinn Anderson||Nancy Jane McCann Barnhart|
I was wondering if you were related to Nancy Jane McCann Barnhart, as you posted a memorial for her - f.a.g. #79146612. This Barnhart family line is in my husband's family line,and connects into my McCann family line. If you are related, I have a photo of her and her husband and others in the family if you are interested. Shelley McMinn Anderson, Secretary of Glades Cemetery, Camichaels, Pa.

Attempting to get other memorial deleted as yours is more complete. Might be hard as Guardian is currently not posting. Wait and see. Thanks, Wildflower
|Sanebee||RE: Younkins in Locust Valley|
I have added your information to my memorials for:
Carroll Saxton Younkins
Charles Walter Younkins
I moved the pictures from my memorial for Donald Younkins to your memorial (your memorial was so complete it just made sense) and deleted my memorial. Can you link him to my memorials for his parents? Father, 115967024, Mother 115967049
Thank you, wish more Find A Grave contributors were like you.

Hi, I see you maintain Mr Smith's site for the Honolulu cemetery. He also has a cenotaph stone at the family plot in Maryland, the Findagrave # is 119388056.
I actually got his service record from the VA and I also got the deck log entry from the ship he died aboard, for the day of his death.
(FYI The newspaper article from 1945 is wrong... he died from coronary thrombosis and not a cerebral hemmorage. Both the VA record and deck log reflect this.)
(first cousin, twice removed)
|Linda Simpson Davidson||Younkins at Locust Valley First Church of God Cemetery|
Cari, the following Younkins which you have posted on Locust Valley First Church of God Cemetery, are also posted at nearby Locust Valley Bible Church Cemetery: Carroll Saxten Younkins, Charles Walter Younkins, Corp. Donald E. Younkins, Jasper Philhower Younkins, and Lizzie B. Jennings Younkins. Contributor Louise Benas added their memorials in August of 2013 with photos of their tombstones. FYI.
