I have been bitten by the genealogy bug! Attending family reunions as a kid made me interested in family history. I am one of those who keep thinking "If I had only asked my grandparents about . . ."! I have been taking photos of gravestones for my family tree, as well as my husband's, for the past year. When I was able to find photos of gravestones in Idaho of a long-lost branch of our family tree on Find-a-Grave, I wanted to help others achieve the same success in tracing their ancestors. I am willing to search cemeteries in the local area, including Illinois City; Buffalo Prairie; Eliza; Drury Township, Rock Island County, Illinois. | |

Hey Cousin JWag! SCORE!!! I finally got ahold of a Pic of my GGG James Wheeler (Maggie Hessman-Wheeler's Father in Law)....I've also added it to your A-Tree as well! Got quite a haul of other folks pics too (from cousins downstream of my GG Uncle John L Wheeler), and I'll try to remember to add those that are relevent to your Tree as I go thru it all! Thank you for responding. Unfortunately, I have no idea. The only info I have is that it is in Aledo, Mercer County, IL. If the find-a-grave info is correct, however, hers is the only grave in "The Old Jones cemetery". So it's hard to say. I'll try and research it some more & let you know.
