After living in the Great NW (Portland/Vancouver) area for more than 20 years I am going home to Colorado at the end of July. I am going to miss traveling the cemeteries that I trudge through weekly filling photo requests (Lone Fir, Rose City, Lincoln Memorial, and Willamette National). However, I am looking forward to visiting the cemeteries that my family are located in and helping the great volunteers that insure those requests are met (Golden, Crown Hill, Fairmount, and Fort Logan).
I have worked on my family tree for several years and know the importance of locating grave markers.
So long Oregon and hello Colorado!! | |

 | Thank you Thank you for the additional information and picture for Memorial# 8751230 I wonder if she once had a stone, I know that trees do a lot of damage when planted near grave stones. Thank you. | | | Reidar Sumstad

 | RE: Barbara Weyrick I am definitely related to the Reiber family from Kolb, Russia. You can get a good idea of my family history with my great-grandmother Maria Elisabeth Reiber Kanzler - Memorial #90058769. I followed the Marie Reiber's family line backwards and there are also Adlers married into the Reibers - my maiden name is Adler. I have no doubt we are related. I was born 4 Mar 1940 in Tacoma, Washington, and I think I have researched ALL the Germans from Russia is our area for almost 15 years. I have also translated the Kolb birth, death, marriage, and military conscription lists for the Kolb/Frank Village Coordinator of AHSGR - 4th cousin - and we are definitely related. All my ancestors came from Kolb. My son Michael is my research companion - I research our family names and he researched the other families from Russia, only to find they are all intertwined into one big family - a Volga German village in Tacoma...JudiAdded by Yeschke on May 15, 2013 12:50 PM | | | Yeschke
 | RE: John Reiber, Ruby Reiber Thank you for your additional information, and from the looks of things, he is not related to Ruby - just a coincidence. Thank you for your help...JudiAdded by Yeschke on May 15, 2013 8:08 AM | | | Clyde
