I am retired so I have time to walk through the cemeteries and take pictures. In mid July 2010 I started a project to record as many memorials for the cemeteries in my county (Broome, NY) with pictures that I could. This project is drawing to a close. I have completed all the cemeteries that I am working on. There are still 4 other cemeteries being worked on by others. I have moved on to cemeteries in Susquehanna PA and Tioga NY.
The following link will show all the cemeteries in the surrounding counties photographed (by me and others!) and added to Find A Grave:

If I have added memorials for any of your relatives, please thank me by visiting a nearby cemetery and add the gravestones there for others to find their relatives.
You have my permission to use any picture taken by me for private uses. For public use, you may use them as long as I am given credit. For commercial use, please contact me.
If any of the memorials I have created need updates, please contact me. If any are a relative of yours and you want to manage them, let me know and I will transfer them. Please use the edit tab and SAC to ask for a transfer or update.

Hello Paul, Just wanted to let you know I sent you an edit request to add some military information to the "Bio" section of his memorial. He served in two different units. Thanks Paul Turner

Hello Paul...Last year I told you that I was going to do Nichols Cemetery and other surrounding cemeteries. I want to let you know that I'm no longer going to do them. Find A Grave decided they like some of memorial pages I created and sent me a not-so-nice email. So I have transferred all of the pages to my sister (Carol and Doug Eastway) to manage.
I just wanted to let you know that you can take over at the Nichols Cemetery if you would like. I got photos of the whole perimeter and started up the left side (looking from the road) to where the pine trees are. Hope this helps so you don't spend wasted time doing duplicates.

Many thanks for taking time to create a memorial page for Ruth J. Axtell nee Kneller (1899-1942) who is buried in Forest Home Cemetery, Waverly, New York.
I have already sent some additional information which may help to further enhance her page and I shall send further data and family links shortly. In the meantime, I have again taken advantage of your kind offer to make use of your grave and marker photos on my Ancestry family tree. I have, of course, credited you for taking the photo and for allowing me to use it with the caption: Photo taken by Paul R.(Find A Grave) and used with his kind permission.
It's rather cold and miserable here but when the weather improves I shall be back transcribing and photographing in my local municipal cemetery. In the meantime I am grateful to you, and others like you, for allowing me to build-up a comprehensive picture of the lives (and deaths) of those brave German Kneller emmigrants and their families who made new lives for themselves in America.
Keep up the good work.
With thanks and best wishes,

I want to thank you for your diligence in recording Broome county graves. I have been working on a family tree for quite some time, and the graves and sites are an integral part of this process. This is my grandfathers grave. I never got to meet him, and I no longer live in NY, but next time I visit I will make this site a part of it. Thank you for the photo of his grave.
