I'm a recent retiree from the federal government and started researching my genealogy. During this process I found "Find A Grave" and am now trying to assist others find their family members. Truly rewarding to help others!|
Please contact me to correct my mistakes or to provide additional information. Also, if the memorial is your relative, just let me know and I will transfer the memorial to you.
When I accept a photo request, I have started photographing the entire cemetery - believing I can assist more than just the requestor. This can take weeks to complete for larger cemeteries. I will only link memorials when I have that information from the stone or obituary; otherwise if you have that information, you can request the link to be made. Also, I am starting to post memorials I find where birth is 1931 or before.
Although some FaG volunteers believe the purpose of FaG is just to register graves sites, I believe it is connected to genealogy searches too - finding that final resting place for family members, as well as discovering others.

|Cheryl||RE: A Big thank YOU!|
This has turned into one of my favorite things to do lately. My 10 year old granddaughter really enjoys helping me. If I had known the Riverview project was happening last week I would have helped some. Currently I am working on Broad Top and Reformed cemeteries. Also adding pics to Valley View.

Hello and thank you for your contributions to Find A Grave. I am currently researching a friends ancestors and see you have been to this cemetery. I did not see a connection between the 2 Murrays, Martin L and Anna G, is it possible if I may ask if the 2 are next to one another? I see you contributed both photos. It is most likely that they were husband and wife. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to take the photo for the Smithers marker.

Thank you for the beautiful picture of my uncle Wilbur's gravestone. Wilbur was my Aunt's (Ruby Jeannette "Demarest" Rumberger) husband.

Would first like to thank you for the wonderful work you are doing with the internments in Riverview Cemetery at Huntingdon, PA. This is a major project and glad you have a team helping with the photos of the memorials. Your work is very much appreciated and helped considerably with our efforts connecting family members in the Neff Cemetery in Huntingdon Co., PA near Petersburg.
Thank you for the Neff transfers and for your contribution to Find-a-Grave. Bill Neff & for the Trustees.
Thanks for the transfer. I am working on that branch of the family trying to break through a brick wall. My 2nd great grandmother was as Nancy Carothers Brown. I know she is buried somewhere in Huntingdon County, but haven't been able to find her. I am hoping by connecting her family, I may find her.

We are working to get a duplicate entry removed. Can you please copy your photo that is currently on memorial 114423890 and submit it to memorial 41030398? That way we can remove the duplicate.
