|I am a native of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. My primary interest is the history and genealogy of Huntingdon County, and in particular any of the Park/s families that were in Franklin County and Huntingdon County when they were formed. My roots are in neighboring Franklin County (at this time). I do research at a number of historical societies in central Pennsylvania and am a member of the Huntingdon County Historical Society. I also assist a major surname genealogy organization in some of their work. Please abide by Find A Grave rules regarding use of photographs, including duplication of pictures already in place for a memorial. Refer to their frequently asked questions if you haven't done so already.|

May I have your permission to copy/use your photos of their grave markers to the family tree at Ancestry.com. (With proper credit.)
Also, where may I look for the obituaries and military records for these families? Do I write the historical society or are any of these online?
Thank you for your help.

I would be able to post a photo of Grandad and add some additional information. Thank you, Ron.

Thank you Ron for you help. Wish I still lived up that way because there is so much family history there still waiting to be explored and here I am in Florida living the retiree life. I'm sure you are looking forward to that beautiful Pennsylvania spring weather when it begins to pop. Enjoy! All the best....Mike Smith, Clearwater, Florida

I am reaching out to you for some advice since you are a frequent contributor of headstone photos for those interred in Riverview Cemetery and since you are a prominent member of the Huntingdon County Historical Society. My question relates to a Samuel H. Shoemaker (b.15 Mar 1820 d.17 Jul 1874 Huntingdon) and his wife Arietta Hampson Shoemaker (b.1 Nov 1827 d. 17 Jun 1893 Huntingdon). Samuel is the son of Elisha Shoemaker (Find A Grave #19782199) and Mary Hergesheimer Shoemaker (Find A Grave #15299971). Samuel and his wife Arietta were prominent members of the Huntingdon community back in the day and circa 1860 he was warden of the Huntingdon County jail. Most, if not all, of the Shoemaker family are interred in Riverview Cemetery so there is every reason to believe Samuel and wife Arietta are there as well. Do you have any information that may help substantiate this belief. FYI, Samuel and Arietta Shoemaker are my 2nd great grandparents.

Mary Elizabeth (Traxler) Locke, married to McKinley Locke, #35372154, has the correct gravestone photo, 1860-1940.
Same picture was posted to Mary (Baldwin) Locke, #35392356, married to Wilson Locke. Mary Baldwin was born in 1869 vs 1860.
Even though you transferred memorial to me, I cannot delete the tombstone photo from the Mary (Baldwin) Locke memorial.
Would you be kind enough to delete the picture on the Mary (Baldwin) Locke memorial?
