My interest in genealogy began ten years ago when I started my Family Trees. Most of my relatives are from PA and OH. My research led me to join ROAGK in IA, where I volunteered to help others in their search for information. Since my retirement, I am now dedicating my time to entering information into "FAG". Hopefully some of the information and gravestone pictures will help others in their searches. If you note errors in my entries, please let me know by email and include "FAG" in the subject line. I hope my contributions add to the value of this important site.|
Find a Grave has implemented a new way to submit Edits! Unfortunately, there are far too many members for Find a Grave to notify everyone via email, so it's up to us to get the word out. If every member posts this message (or similar) in their profile, hopefully we can help spread the word.
To suggest a correction (SAC) click on the edit tab of the memorial that needs to be corrected. Then click on the link which best describes where your edit should occur. Enter your correction, when you're done, click submit edit. Your request will be sent to the manager of the memorial and will appear in the managers' profile under the Edits tab.
Managers will no longer receive emails. They must go directly to their profile page and click on the Edits tab. Managers can approve, deny or ignore, suggested corrections. It's quick and easy!
Requesting a transfer other corrections are still handled the same way. Click on "suggest any other correction or addition," type your message and press "send this message." The manager of the memorial will receive an email.

All my pleasure, Nancy, and I'm happy to have been able to help. Wishing you a wonderful week!
Don't feel bad.......I do that all the time!! After awhile all the names start to blend together! I don't even have the excuse of being sick, I'm just blonde :)

Thank you Nancy! He takes pride in his contributions and I like to give credit where it's due. :)

Hi Nancy! I can't take the credit for these! I claimed them but my friend David (David P. Wilson #46887005) took the pictures and posted them. All the credit goes to him :) Since he had posted them I wanted to clear the requests out, but I wasn't sure how to do about it without leaving them active. An error on my part. I'm sure he'd appreciate a note of thanks. Sorry for the confusion!

When I look at the census for 1860 it shows her as born about 1815 in Virginia. She married John Dickson in 1859 so it does not seem possible that she was born in 1856.

Thanks. Another way to get rid of memorials. Do you mind if I transfer the remaining one to you for management?

Thank you so much for his marker photo. He came from California for our 45th class reunion ln August and I sat in a booth at Macs and talked to him. He was our class president and did so well for himself.
