Bio and Links
I've appreciated the information I've found here, and just want to give back by contributing, but it isn't the only thing I do. I enjoy genealogy and share what I can, please let's keep it that way. It might take me six months to get to edits... constant emails and messages from you will not change this and takes the joy out of this.

Certain members add duplicate photos to memorials, please stop... it's a waste of time and storage. My pics are reduced because FAG requires smaller file sizes when batch uploading. I keep the original files, so if you'd like to request an updated photo on a given memorial, feel free to ask, I'd be happy to update AND send you a higher quality file... just give it some time. As for using the photos on other sites, especially Ancestry.com, feel free... most do anyway. It's such a shame Ancestry likes to charge for so much information that should be free.

We all make mistakes, but please check your information before asking for changes... I've received complaints about information provided by others. I neither need nor want any proof of your information, since I will include your FAG ID in edits, or possibly list suggestions in bio rather than making changes with discrepancies. This way if there is a problem with your info, people can take it up with you. I delete emails that do not indicate a correction/change, just regurgitated info from some site.

I do not make transfers or edits through requests from comments since I seldom check here. Please use supplied FAG links.

Please let me know (once) if you find a mistake or have additional information/corrections BY SELECTING THE EDIT LINK ON THE MEMORIAL PAGE. YOU DO NOT NEED TO KEEP EMAILING AND MESSAGING ME... it might take several months (I have a life outside FAG) I WILL GET TO IT... eventually.

Please indicate your relationship to transfer requests... I am related to some of these people too!

Thanks... and Happy Hunting!

Donald C. Marks
Hello.

I wondered if I could have your permission to use your photo of Donald's grave marker in my online family tree on the ancestry website.

Thank you and have a nice day...Toni

I would love to help you but Eternal Valley only releases location information to family members. The Garden of Pioneers is large - do you have a more specific location?

I found the whole article about Mr. Fleming being wounded in Italy during WW II in some boxes of old newspapers that I got from my aunt. Do you want it for this listing, or do you know his family and think they would want a copy of it. I can scan it and put it on the listing if you want it on there. It is about 3"x4".

Jonathan Davis
Dresden Cemetery _ 13757256

Kent Kooi and I have been doing research on the men of the 4th Iowa Cavalry for over three years. We would also like to ask your permission to use your headstone photo of Jonathan Davis in a Power Point presentation we are putting together to donate to the historical societies in several Iowa counties. We would credit the photo as "Courtesy of Ahwahneeliz" or your name if you'd care to share. Please let me know and thank you for your help.

Your photo of this tombstone shows evidence of repair, but since then the stone has broken into 3 pieces. Soon caring Davis descendents who live through the U.S. will have the stone replaced.
We have each visited Mt. Moriah and this grave site. The new stone is designed to closely replicate the orininal. Eventually we will have a photo of the replacement which we will want to share with you.
Thank you for your interest.
