Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born and raised in Fresno, California of Alabama born parents, got into Genealogy in 1997 when I could not figure out what else to do with this computer on-line. I have built up quite a lot of pictures of old shots of Clay County and Jefferson County Alabama. I have visited most of the cemeteries of my ancestors and my Wife's ancestors in Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas. A Self-proclaimed Historian with a California Historical society (E Clampus Vitus), I am visiting places of historical interest and with my trusty Dimage , Vivitar and Olympus digital cameras have been taking pictures of headstones at whatever cemeteries we may visit and Historical Monuments in our travels in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Washington. In Fresno, I have added the 1919 biographies of early Fresno residents from the Paul E Vandor book titled "The History of Fresno County" to as many listings as I could. If you have something you would like to have added to a Bio, just drop me a line.

I follow FindaGrave rules and usually transfer close relatives within 30 days. You can complain to the FindaGrave administrators if you want, but you will likely find they too have little patience for impatient people.

Manora Belle Redden Laning
Hi there Lester,
I am passing this message on to you, if you can help Lance

My name is Lance Redden...Please forgive my informality.

---I have been updating photos for Mary Jane
Story Pearson (1838 - 1900) at LODI MEMORIAL
CEMETERY.

---Mary Jane's first husband before William
Renfro Pearson (1830 - 1920) was:

Edward Redden (1811-__) from Jackson County
Iowa-(marriage 1858)

---Their 2-children were:

1. SILAS H. REDDEN (1862-1943) (buried in
Fresno)

2. Manora Belle Redden Laning (1861 -
1957) (buried in Fresno)

---So, Manora Belle Redden Laning's father IS
NOT Holice G King (____ - 1938)

Without Edward Redden's grave number or whereabouts, I cannot adjust this mistake. Can you help?

I hope I am not imposing!

Sincerely,
Lance Redden
Fresno, CA

David Herschel Beasley
I would like to have my Uncle Herschel transferred to me, if you would be willing to do so. He is the older brother of my Uncle James Rex Beasley and my Mother Susan Bernice Beasley Adamson. Thank you for your consideration. Jan Adamson

James Rex Beasley
Hello, I was wondering if you would mind transferring James Rex Beasley to me. He was one of my mother's brothers. She had two: David Herschel Beasley and James Rex Beasley and my mother was the baby of the family. They were very close and as a result, our families grew up very close to each other. There were a total of ten first cousins: four boys from David Herschel, three boys from James Rex, and three girls (of which I am one) from Susan Bernice Beasley Adamson Thank you for your consideration. RE: Arvilla Letson #35033565
Thank you very much! I left the older one that you created and moved to the corrected cemetery, transferred all info to it, and deleted mine. Thank you for the transfer as well.

Mother of Sarah Lumpkin Saxon
Hello Lester,
When photographing Alabama cemeteries, did you happen to find the graves of the parents of Sarah Lumpkin Saxon? Her parents were Robert D Lumpkin and Martha C Dameron Lumpkin. Martha was living with her daughter Sarah and husband William Saxon in the 1880 census, but passed away before the 1900 census. Martha is my GGG-grandmother and I have searched for years for her final resting place. I've been to Rock Springs and can't even find an area where there might have been markers at one time.
Thank you.

Arvilla Letson #35033565
Greetings,
Arvilla is buried in a different cemetery than the one you have created a Memorial for. I created a Memorial (#136769916 in the correct cemetery) before I saw your listing in Alden Evergreen. Not sure if you want to delete your Memorial, just wanted to pass the info along. The Memorial I created does contain a photo and she is buried next to her Mother Clarrissa King Letson in Oak Hill Cemetery in Elma, Erie, New York. Let me know if there is anything else I can do. Thank you.
