A group of us had formed a nonprofit foundation to assist the City of Cleveland in restoration of Woodland Cemetery. I will look up names and take photographs of the headstones/graves for those buried in Woodland Cemetery. If you plan on visiting the cemetery, I will also be glad to meet you there to show you the graves of who you are looking for. In some cases the graves may be unmarked. Check out our website to search our database of burials and ongoing events and projects at www.wcfcle.org. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.|

Thank you very much for taking photos of the Holzaepfel family lot at Woodland, particularly each section of a long gravestone with the names of several children on it. Your researcher not only took these photos but emailed me with other information that I couldn't find without starting at the cemetery. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the wonderful work that you do. I have visited the cemetery alone before, but next time I go will be sure to contact you first.
I have corrected a typo on one of my listings here - thank you so much for bringing it to my attention.
Always a pleasure!

Good morning, I am looking for any soldier/sailor that had any ties to Vermont; birth, death, service, or residence prior, or after the Civil War.I have a photo of Daniel Harrington's merker, but don't have one of Edward Weeks. If you have one, it would be fantastic. Vermont has veterans buried in every state, except Alaska. If you go to Vermontcivilwar.org, you can view thousands of pages on Vermont's soldiers and their part in the war.. It is material contributed by many C.W. buffs. In a drop down menu in the upper right hand corner, you can view " contributors". Clicking on my name you can see the photo's, links to Find A Grave, as well as letters from soldiers, articles etc.that I have sent in. I know the webmaster quite well, and can say he has done a fantastic job. The hope was to have it complete during the sesquicentennial, but that was a wild dream. There is always more to find and learn.I am learning more now than I ever did in high school history class back in the 1950's, when I was in school.
Thank you so much for sharing your interests. If I can research anything here in Vermont for you, please do givr me a shout.
An old lady that loves our stste & history!

Thank you very much for the photo for James Dickinson'n Memorial page. Although I am not a descendant of his, I am an American Civil War buff, and, for about 4 years, I have worked on a project to locate the last resting spot of all soldiers that had any ties to Vermont. It has been so much fun and so rewarding. So much to learn! Find a Grave is such a marvelous tool. It's great to see a bio with so much info- it gives a feeling of " knowing this soldier/ citizen, as if we were "neighbors" Again, Thank you so much!
