Bio and Links
Bio Photo This has been my hobby for over seven years, started long before I discovered any websites for posting them.
I find myself concentrating on the older, broken, unreadable tombstones, the ones that, because of layers of mold, lichen and grime, are so obscure that people tend to walk right past them. I get more satisfaction uncovering a lost individual's stone than I do photographing huge monuments that will be around for a thousand years and those more modern ones of the men whose bones have partially disintegrated while still clothed in the everlasting polyester suits that they were buried in!

Done. Really puzzled about the Giessler gravesite. My GreatGrandparents family and none of us knew they had this child and why they put him in Linwood when they have a big lot in Calvary by the old chapel. Jaegers were all over this area and that's the child's mother Another puzzle.

Thank you Cheryl for the photo of John's stone. It is clear, a bit leaning and in focus. I appreciate your time and consideration for my request.

Charles Giessler
Had a surprise finding this grave (83336884) for Charles Giessler. We did not know he existed let alone being buried in Linwood. Parents were strong Catholic and to find a child I did not know from any family records existed, buried in what at that time was a non catholic cemetery surprises me. He would have been their first born. Is there any chance that in recording him he was put into the wrong cemetery? Do you remember where the marker is? Thanks George

Laurabell Kertels

I just posted her obituary and it states her parents as John and Mary (Strief) Kenneally. Maybe Klostermann was from a previous marriage.

Yours Truly,
LeRoy A.

Hello! I saw your recent addition to Thomas's page with the newspaper clipping. Such a great clip! I do believe, however, this belongs on his son's page - his son (also with the name of Thomas D) was the plumber in the family and this was published only 2 years before Thomas Sr died (and I don't think he's start a new business at the age of 80). If you'd like his son's page let me know! Thanks so much for this info though!
