May I have permission to use your photo of the cemetery sign? I would like to add it to my Ancestry tree for Lottie S Hamilton and Duncan Berry.
I did not realize that this cemetery had memorials on Find A Grave. The family had talked about getting gravestone photos in this very out of the way location. I thank you for being the one to record the burials there. We now have the photos, also.

|Karen Allen Rink||Horace Nelson Hovey|
Horace Hovey is my great great grandfather.
I have just added him and his wife's memorial in the Hiawatha Cemetery, Hiawatha, Kansas. I then connected him to his parents.
I will be adding photos. I also have their obits.
Located this obit for Elias S. Hovey at the Hiawatha Library, thought it would be of interest to you.
THE BROWN COUNTY WORLD, HIAWATHA, KANSAS dated Friday, January 7, 1898
Elias S. Hovey was born in Brookfield, Vermont, October 4, 1823 and died January 2, 1898 at the home of his son, H.N. Hovey, two and one-half miles north west of Hiawatha. Mr. Hovey was converted at the age of 13 and united with the Baptist church of which he was a member to his death. He leave three children to mourn his loss. His wife and two children proceeded him to the land of rest. The funeral services were held from the home of H.N. Hovey by Rev. Honsteadt. The remains were taken to Cedar Falls, Iowa.
DO you know of the Bio located in the "History of Butler and Bremer Counties, Iowa; pub in 1883 for Elias ? If you would like it sent to you, let me know.
IF I can be of further assistance on H.N. please let me know.
Karen Allen Rink
Thank You for the obit. Betty

I really appreciate you looking and asking! I am not a relative either and was trying to help a friend out! You are right, it doesn't make sense that a friend can't visit!
Thank you for sharing the photo of my Aunt Joyce Kadrmas' gravesite. I so appreciate all you are doing on this project. Record # 26620857

Thank you very much for the transfers.
Thank you so much for taking a photo for this memorial!
Thank you posting a picture of the Rucker monument and for seeking out and posting Grace's obituary. Those are good additions to her memorial. Do you have the name of the newspaper and date that it was published? That information would be helpful.
This is not your problem, but her date of marriage included in the obituary is a surprise. She would have been only about 11 years old. She married in 1903, so I can't imagine how the earlier date was included.
Thanks for your help!
