Re Telitha WhelChel Dunn
My reason for not linking Find A Grave Unknown Memorials might be lengthy, but I hope I can help you see my reasoning. I will start by posting Find A Grave rules for Unknown Burials & place them in ().
(How do I add a memorial when I'm not sure what cemetery they are buried?
This is similar to adding a memorial for cremation. Do not create a new cemetery which does not exist in order to add these memorials. Use the Family and Friends link and select the Burial:Other and then Recent Death, location of body unknown option. Location of body unknown is used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition must be determined and updated within 30 days.) Please note the final sentence as I will try to explain why this rule is listed.
First & foremost this is Find A Grave, meaning a known burial location or cremation exists (which was added at a later time) & here is why.
Lets say that (Joe Whitte) decides to enter his kin {Bote Litle} on Find A Grave, he knows for certain that he is deceased but does not know where he is buried. So he makes an Unknown Burial for Bote. About 2 years later a volunteer is taking photo's in a cemetery & finds {Bote Litle} & list his memorial in the proper cemetery, with a memorial photograph. He has no clue that (Joe Whitte) has listed him in an Unknown Burial. Later (Joe Whitte) finds out that there is another memorial with the photograph listed for {Bote Litle} & moves his unknown memorial to this cemetery & asks the contributor of the 1st memorial at this cemetery to delete his memorial because (Joe Whitte) has the oldest memorial. This is completely unfair to this contributor who volunteers his time to photograph, edit photo, & enter the correct information onto Find A Grave. If someone does not know the burial location there are places to enter all their information, Rootsweb, LDS, etc. I love to use all these sites myself, however, being an avid family genealogist, I could have entered 1000's of my family members as Unknown Burials including my GGG-Grandparents whom I know all the correct information except their burial locations are. If everyone that uses Find A Grave did this there would be no space available to post anything on Find A Grave. Myself and others refuse to be a part of this & will not link to Unknown Burials. I will gladly list who the parents are, but will make a note that their burial location is unknown.
I am a complete Find A Grave volunteer, meaning that I freely give my time, energy & effort to photograph cemetery memorials. I do it in 100+ & even snowy weather. I photograph, crop the photograph, even go back & retake what I feel is a bad photograph & enter this information from the memorial along with doing research if I can find them & have time. I have had the privilege to photograph 1000's & have 1000's more to enter on Find A Grave. I certainly hope that none of my photographs are ever used for $$$. I know that Find A Grave is a for profit company, but they do not charge anything for someone across the world to view the photographs & work that I and others like myself have done. I will never knowingly ever link to an Unknown Burial. I appreciate your desire to help with your family genealogy & applaud your for it. But Find A Grave is not the forum for Unknown.

God Bless YOU!!!

RE: Just Checking
Sara, I do remember the circumstances you describe and I am most regretful that my health began to decline about that time and I was unable to complete your request. I did believe that once I resigned from being a photo taker any open requests would become available for new volunteers to complete. I suggest that you make a new request and you might note in that request that I will give them the information I had gathered at the time.

Again, I feel badly because your request was not timely fulfilled.

Hi, I'm sorry I couldn't accept the Moffat, Scotland birth place and the NC death place. I have never found any documentation of these places but would welcome your sources. It was believed by one undocumented source (see my bio), that he died on the way to NC but nothing says he made it there. His importation papers state he left from Ireland but doesn't give a birth place. Thanks for understanding.

Mary Whelchel Stanbro
Thank you for the multiple edits. I accepted all but one. Stanbro is the spelling of Mary's surname on her marker (as well as her husband's marker). Per F-A-G policy, the surname on the marker is to be used; this is to avoid someone else coming along later mowing the rows and accidentally adding a duplicate memorial. I added a note to her bio about the alternative surname spelling as Stanbrough.

Interestingly, the California Death Index has two separate entries for Mary, one for each spelling.

Again, thank you for the edits.

April Is Finding Graves
Mauckport, IN
Hey Sara! Been a long time since I've talked to you. Wanted to let you know there is a group on Facebook you'd be very interested in if you're on there still. It's called Mauckport, Glidas, and other Heth Township Memories. I've come across quite a few Neely photos on there.

RE: Thank You!
You are very welcome. It gives me some much needed peace in my life to go to old cemeteries and see the struggle that our ancestors endured, losing spouses and sometimes several children in a short period of time. Very humbling! Taking pics is an added blessing. :) ~Angie~

RE: Memorial# 52166930
Hi Sara,
I copied the bio and marked the part that should be removed. It's a duplicate line that names the incorrect parents. :-)
