The cemeteries are one of the best ways to gather information such as birth/death dates, marriage dates, spouse's name, family members, etc. This site has been a treasure box for us, we hope to give back a little information in return. |
Only a genealogist can appreciate the excitement of finding a picture of that ancestor or their marker.
Additional information & or corrections are welcome.
Duplications are not intentional.
Will be glad to transfer any memorial, unless it is one of our family.

Thank you for taking and posting pictures of my families final resting place. I live in California and had no way to gain the photos of the headstones of my family members. I greatly appreciate your time and care for those of us away from our families home places.
|Maureen Wilson||Noah Anderson born 1809|
Good Morning Mr. and Mrs.,
I am contacting you to inquire about Noah Anderson on Findagrave.com. Noah Anderson is my husband’s GGreat Grandfather on his Paternal mother’s side. Noah married Martha Ann Newcomb and had eight children.
Since you maintain the Findagrave file; this leads me to believe that you might be related to Noah as well. I have been searching for Noah’s father and the genealogy community seems to feel that James Welch Anderson is that man. My problem with this is that I cannot find actual documentation that supports this belief. I would be happy to provide what I have found if you’d like that . . .
Would you please tell me how you know that James Welch is truly Noah’s father?
THANK YOU, in advance, for taking time out of your busy day to respond to my email!
Anxious to hear from you,
Dear Mr. & Mrs.,
Would it be possible to transfer #99284045 Bryan Keith Smith from Westmoreland Cemetery? I'm trying to keep my husband's parents & his brother together. I already own my husband's, Ricky Wayne Smith (thanks to you for transferring a few years ago) and instead of going back and forth with all 4 adding their bio information, etc., it would be so much easier to simply have them transferred, if you don't mind.
Their parents are Gay Cobb Gibson # 100403403 &
Rufus W Smith # 100403710.
Thank you very much...and I personally thank you for all the hard work and time you've put into so many memorials. That is true dedication! My husband's entire family of many generations are all buried at this one cemetery - so much ancestor history in just one small, rural cemetery. I'm trying to get as much information as I can on each ancestor so they can be all updated with their own bio & photos.
Little by little...
Ramona Rawlings Smith

According to Mrs. Jeffery's death certificate, her body was buried at St. Peter Cemetery in Ozan, Arkansas. Her birth certificate says she was born as Mary Ann Johnson "near Hope, Arkansas."
Her mother is listed on the death certificate as "Beatrice Hubbard" and father as William Johnson. I found that a William Johnson and "Yancy Hubbard" were married in Washington, Arkansas, which is between Hope and Ozan.
If you know anyone in that area who is familiar with any of these names, it would mean a lot to a 50 year woman in DeRidder, Louisiana, the daughter of Mary Ann Jeffery and Adolph Jeffery.
Can you confirm if she has a marker at St. Peter Cemetery in Ozan?

Thank you for all your help and taking the time to help me research. I wanted to let you know that Burten died in 1938 not 1968, also. You've been much help and blessings to you!
