Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing Genealogy for about 25 yrs now and have taken several classes on it. I love the excitement of finding the answers to any clue. I think if I had another life it would be as a detective. I live in MT. and I love it here. I'm retired and am looking forward to spending more time doing the one thing I love doing more than anything, Genealogy! What a Joy and remarkable journey this has taken me on. People have helped me and I pay it forward, it is a great feeling.

Pegge - Actually we are not related but my father loved the McDermotts as a second family. He would walk from the homestead over on Gold Butte all the was over to West Butte to "hang out" as the kids say. He was the youngest of his family and sometimes I think he got a little lonely and besides there were lots of "girls" over there. I will never know which one was his favorite. He told me once about going over and asking Ruth (?) the mother if he brought a chicken over on SUnday would she fry it and of course she said yes. One of the boys pointed out that he did not have a chicken and Dad said not to worry as he would have one by Sun. Evidently he picked up one from somebodys flock. She not only fried it but also made him a pie or fresh roll to go with it. I have it written down somewhere but what a cute story. He really thought of that family as his second family. I know they had a big reunion in 20008 0r 2009 and he really wanted to go but I was back at my daughters wedding and nobody picked him up. I have to say he was devastated. As far as leaviing a flower - I love it - he was such a special person. I moved to MT and took care of him in my home his last years and have not one regret. DO you know Norma Wood? She was a very dear friend of his. He was very close to Beverly and Eddie - they played a lot of cards back when. I am a quilter and was in the same guild as Beverly so we visited every month! Talk to you soon. Chris

RE: Question regarding relationship
Are you familiar with the McDermotts that have the home at the base of West Butte in the Sweetgrass Hills out of Sunburst. One I can say right off is Beverly McDermott Nash who lives in Cut Bank with her husband Ed.

Question regarding relationship
I see your name on my fathers grave memorial and noticed you are a McDermott. Are you related to the Sweetgrass Hills McDermotts? If so - how?

I'd be happy to go to the cemetery again in the spring when it's nicer here in Minnesota. I just need to make a reminder for myself.

Hi Pegge,
I want to thank you so very much for taking the time to take these photos for me. You have no idea just how much this means for me to be able to see my aunt and uncles grave site.

Best regards,
Enid Redfern
