I would like permission to use the photo taken of Asa Capps on Ancestry.com as his primary photo. I do not want to assume that it is OK without asking 1st.
|gladwin gal||RE: Terpening & Armstrong surnames.|
I have several Armstrong, Findagrave Memorials in Gladwin County, Michigan on here! Mostly in (our) Highland Cemetery and a few in another local Cemetery. So far! I don't see any Terpening ones. Though, according to Familysearch.org their seems to be a few who died in the Clare County, MI area. Which is a neighbor County of my Hometown County.

Glad to hear that you are back on your feet and doing research.
Guess it has been so long ago that I requested some info. Can you tell me what and who I was looking for...........................
|gladwin gal||Dear Foxie.|
I was born in Gladwin, Gladwin County, Michigan. However grew-up in Beaverton, Gladwin County, Michigan. After High School, I tried a little College & then went into the Air Force (military service) for nearly 11 years.
After I was Discharged. I have slowly moved away from Home. A few years in Midland, Midland County, Michigan & now Resided in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.
I have been to several U.S. States & have traveled to several Countries overseas as well. Like South Korea, Germany, Japan, England & even a couple of Months in Manila, Philippines.
Guess this is what Sparked my Interest in Family Genealogy. I know! we are all Connected. Regardless what (our) Politicians say!
|Diane Gravlee||Charles Anderson II will|
I did some more looking and the only thing I have that is a document for Charles II is the will, which as you know does not list his son, Amos, and his grandson, Israel. I don't have any other suggestions for your DAR application. I know Charles is already on the DAR list, but they require more proof now than previously.
I have changed the name for Amos' wife to Camille/Amelia. It could well be that the "C" was left off and it Camelia....or the C was part of the previous word in the source.
I'm sorry that I am not of further help to you.
I will, of course, let you know if I come across anything further. I don't know that a trip to West Virginia/Pennsylvania would be of help. I did some research once in the local genealogy museum/library in Greene County, Pennsylvania and it was quite good, but don't think they have anything more than what I already gathered there. A phone call to them might be of help to you.
|Diane Gravlee||RE: Chas Anderson II will copy|
Foxie, good to hear from you again! I do see that the Permelia Anderson is indeed a child, age 1, and obviously not the wife of Amos. I have sent corrections via the edit tabs to unlink her to Amos and any children and to delete the maiden name. I also downloaded the photo to my computer of the marker and it certainly reads like "who died aged 1 y. & 13 days" On top of that Amos' wife's name was Camille not Permelia. I also looked and Israel is already linked to Amos, his dad. Also, Amos is already linked to Charles, his father.
I have found Find A Grave much more open to changes and quicker since Ancestry took over and the new Edit application works well because if a manger is inactive, the edit will take place 3 weeks later automatically. When you tried to separate out the two cemeteries, did you go through the Cemetery Forum? Mark, there, is usually very helpful and with some proof would separate them.
Let me know if I can help in any way. I haven't worked on the Andersons in a while.
I am a DAR Registrar trying to help complete applications for a very nice lady, her daughter and granddaughter.
Their ancestor is Solomon Soper (m. Phebe Wood). Is there any chance you have photos of the Solomon Soper tombstone or the Phebe Soper tombstone with dates?

|The Locator||Civil War Vet|
I am trying to locate the burial place of a Civil War Veteran. His name was Harrison Bishop and he died 13 Feb 1924 in Sumner Township, Warren County, IL according to the IL death record on ancestry.com. It states that he was buried in the Ohio Grove Cemetery. Can you help me locate him. He was a Civil War Vet also.
