Bio and Links
Bio Photo Families that I'm researching include Lapham, Wixson, Hillyard-Hyliard, Jesseph, Rappleye, Van Nuys, Cantrell, Gennrich-Genrich, Wilk-Wilkie-Wilczewski, Hoff, and Filipowicz-Phillips. And my wife's family Sawyer, Mumm, Limb, Curry, Barkuloo, Schmidt, and Green.

Currently working Peoria County cemeteries. Photographed: Prospect, Chillicothe, Streitmatter, Saint Joseph Mooney Cemetery, and am now working the historic Springdale Cemetery. Have 100% photograhed Division A, The Willows, and Forrest Lawn Division grave markers in Springdale. Have started photographing the Woodland Heights Division.

If you make edit suggestions, I do investigate every suggestion before accepting. I do not accept suggestions, where the only source is an ancestry tree. Documentation is required.

A few things I've learned...
Death certificates are good for date and location of death (other info on death certificate is advisory).
Birth certificate is the best source for date of birth, location, and parents.
Info from headstones is also advisory too. Headstones are sometimes put in place decades later by descendants and errors are made.

I will transfer ownership of a memorial to you if they fall within the Find A Grave guidelines, unless they are part of my own genealogical research.

Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

I will also admit that I'm reluctant to transfer ownership where an obit is included and all of the links have already been made.

Many of the transfers that I've made, just sit there, no embellishments.

Thank You Again
Thanks for the information and picture on Michael Hartley! He is my brother-in-law's ancestor.

House across the street is in new hands - I lived there for 55 years. Lots of tears; tomorrow would have been my father's 91st birthday. So far it's sad to see the new faces across the street - I'm sure that will change in the future.

Albrecht's are also relatives. So many relatives at Springdale!

You're doing a wonderful job. I'm working on Memorial Park in Galesburg. Ran up there and took about 300 pictures IN THE RAIN - interesting effects on the stones. Been up there in seven inches of snow, been even farther west in the middle of an ice storm - VERY interesting pictures!

RE: Trientje Tervehn
I sent you an email with my information about Trientji TerVehn

RE: TerVehn
Thanks for the quick reply. I suspected they weren't buried next to each other because he died many years earlier (30-40yrs) than her and then her relatives put her in their grave plot (suggesting that the couple didn't get a double plot earlier). I think Harm's parents might be buried there as well so keep up the good work and hopefully something turns up soon.

Have you come across a grave for Harm TerVehn born about 1835, died about 1880-1899? I think he might be buried near Trientie TerVehn in the Springdale Cemetery in Peoria. Also any other TerVehns not listed on Find A Grave yet.

Stephen, I have transcribed the obit you uploaded to his page at Find A Grave Memorial# 104697635 and made the corrections to his info and to the last name of his wife Emma Duffe. Thank you for all your work. John

RE: Kathryn Wilhelm
Steve -

Thanks so much back in June for answering my request, and finding the obit for Kathryn "Katy" Wilhelm Daily, my mother's first cousin who we had lost all track of.

She was the only surviving child of 3. In the late 1920s, Kathryn was 9 when her 6 year old brother Tony died, and she was 11 when her 10 year old sister Mary Edna died. Both of appendicitis, or so the town doc thought.

I have created a memorial page for her # 152275054, and linked her to her sweet parents Ed and Helen Wilhelm, Chillicothe residents all their lives.

Sarah E Sloan in St. Mary's Cem.
Peoria, IL - I have a picture of Sarah E. Sloan's stone. According to the stone, she was born in 1881 and died in 1956. I'll put up her husband's stone (if it isn't already on the site) - his dates are correct. Thank You for Your Help!

RE: Earnest Hendricks
Thank you for the grave photo. I never found Thrientie's death record either. It mystifies me that so many deaths seem to be unrecorded. She was briefly married to a Nicolas Leppert, then divorced after 1900. I found Nicolas' death certificate and grave. I don't know where she went, but it is heartwarming that her inlaws through her son Henry took her to their own burial plot.

Trientie Tervehn
Thank you, thank you for posting this memorial! She is my 3x great-grandmother and I have spent countless hours wondering where she was buried and when she died.
