Families that I'm researching include Lapham, Wixson, Hillyard-Hyliard, Jesseph, Rappleye, Van Nuys, Cantrell, Gennrich-Genrich, Wilk-Wilkie-Wilczewski, Hoff, and Filipowicz-Phillips. And my wife's family Sawyer, Mumm, Limb, Curry, Barkuloo, Schmidt, and Green. |
Currently working Peoria County cemeteries. Photographed: Prospect, Chillicothe, Streitmatter, and am now working the historic Springdale Cemetery. Have 100% photograhed Division A and The Willows grave markers in Springdale. Now working in Forrest Lawn Division in Springdale.
If you make edit suggestions, I do investigate every suggestion before accepting. I do not accept suggestions, where the only source is an ancestry tree. Documentation is required.
A few things I've learned...
Death certificates are good for date and location of death (other info on death certificate is advisory).
Birth certificate is the best source for date of birth, location, and parents.
Info from headstones is also advisory too. Headstones are sometimes put in place decades later by descendants and errors are made.
I will transfer ownership of a memorial to you if they fall within the Find A Grave guidelines, unless they are part of my own genealogical research.
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
I will also admit that I'm reluctant to transfer ownership where an obit is included and all of the links have already been made.
Many of the transfers that I've made, just sit there, no embellishments.

Have you had any problems with findagrave.com being VERY slow when making edits?

|Shawdau||Good Evening, Steve|
I can't believe I don't have Christine Karoline Seiffer in my file! Thank you so much for the information on her and George Auppperle - my aunt is an Aupperle. I had 43 Aupperle's in my family file but not George and Caroline.
My laptop (with access to Find A Grave) died on July 14th - that was supposed to be a trouble date, but not for rather new laptop's - I think I sent you a message that I had a virus on it before that date, but it died on the 14th so I finally have a new one and I am learning to use it. I tried to send you this message by email today but I don't think it made it so I'm sending it again. I have your corrections and I thank you for them.
I got about 300 pictures taken at Swan Lake - there are only 20% pictures from there. Good Luck in your Springdale work - Ruth

Would you mind transferring his memorial to me, he is my grandfather. Thanks PEGGY_SEUBERT_512@comcast.net

Thanks for Julia's Obit and all the work you do.
|Shawdau||You got my message!|
Nope - they are at Texas Station in Hanna City - minus Howard's first name, John. It's the Beecher's who are buried at Cottonwood. Sigh -

You didn't get my message. Let me see if I can reconstruct it - Lucille M. Buhs Moody's death date on her stone at Swan Lake is 1975, 2 years different from what it says in her husband's obituary.
The rest was just thank you, thank you - for the hard work you do - George Moody's middle name is Winston - I think his parents are buried at Cottonwood Cemetery, but I'm not sure, and I have all the middle names in that family - I used to do the Moody/Beecher family history.
I will try to send this again and check back later to see if you get it - I think I'll hold a copy this time. I've had a virus on my computer over the July 4th weekend. My brother-in-law fixed it, but it's back tonight - sigh.
