Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi, I enjoy doing research on my extended family, something I inherited from both sides of the family. Their work has given me a headstart. Families that I'm researching include Lapham, Wixson, Hillyard-Hyliard, Jesseph, Rappleye, Van Nuys, Ellison, Cantrell, Gennrich-Genrich, Wilk-Wilkie-Wilczewski, Hoff, and Filipowicz-Phillips. And my wife's family Sawyer, Mumm, Limb, Curry, Barkuloo, Schmidt, and Green.
If I can be of any assistance, please ask. I would also like to thank those in the Find A Grave community for the huge role that you play - THANKS!

A few things I've learned...
Death certificates are good for date and location of death (other info on death certificate is advisory).
Birth certificate is the best source for date of birth, location, and parents.
Info from headstones is also advisory too. Headstones are sometimes put in place decades later by descendants and errors are made.

Parental links
Hi! Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate so much your work on here. Don't know how you do it or what your sources are but the parental links are great! Thanks!

Thanks for the offer, Stephen, but you may retain. I am getting older and need to know that things are being looked after. I may have some bio edits for her in the future, but I will submit thru the edit process. I just wanted to thank you for getting her on Find A Grave. She is being buried this morning. RIP cousin!

Thanks for creating the page for my cousin, Stephen. She is among the last of that generation of Peoria Hagemanns.

RE: George A.
No - I found another 15 pages of obituaries. I still haven't hit the right title for Springdale - when the PJS announced that they were going to change their obituary policy, I dumped hundreds of Springdale obituaries into a file, but I can't remember the name of it. I have files that pre-date WORD, so it's just hit what I hit and work on those obituaries for a while. Thanks for your work!

RE: Felix Taghon
Yeah - Albert has a sister who was born around 1914 so that brings it to 1914 - 1920. So close.

RE: Margaret A. Oates
Hmm. Could be! He died early enough to be in the Springdale books, if he had died here in Peoria. With all the separated married folk, it shouldn't surprise me that he isn't buried with his wife!

RE: Margaret A. Oates
That's the problem I'm having with Felix Taghon. I have his son, Albert, at Lutheran Cemetery - they're related to me. Then I found Albert's mother, Felix's wife, Margaret Prescott Taghon at Springdale, but Felix just isnt' there. I've checked Springdale books and all - can't find him, unless his last name is just really misspelled. He's an ongoing project.

Our Curry's were in Illinois, Missouri, and Nebraska. According to my fellow Find A Grave submitter, I've been doing Middle Valley tonight. I had to adjust the size of the pictures so hopefully (ha ha) I'll be the first to put them in - we'll see - happy New Year!

RE: Margaret A. Oates

I just noticed that Curry is on your wife's family last names - My great-great grandmother married a Curry - it was her third marriage, though. Elizabeth Ward Haislett Nichols Curry. Someone else has put her burial in at an incorrect cemetery - I told her, she ignored me.

Margaret A. Oates
I have Henry D. Oates and Margaret A. Oates up on my computer - her dates are 22 Jan. 1930 - 24 Dec. 1990. Do you want to enter her information?
