Bio Photo Hello everyone, my name is David. After more than 10 years as just "David," I decided to change my public name, as I am a perplexed historian. I may go back to David, but for now I am enjoying the change. I am a professor of history and have always loved to research my family history, and to pay tribute to my lost loved ones. Find A Grave is a great way to keep your family history alive. Please check out the memorials for my three departed grandparents. Marian L. Seymour (1915-2001) My beloved grandmother meant the world to me and I am glad she has this tribute, and My two grandfathers Harold H. Seymour (1913-1997), and Raymond Dominic Stallone (1910-1993). Also check out the tribute to my Great Aunt because I made her a promise she would never be forgotten Pauline Burke (1922-2003).

2012, took from me one of my favorite people on the face of the earth, my Gretel. Gretel was the best friend of my Oma(grandmother). Gretel along with four other women constituted my favorite people on the face of the earth. I called them my hummingbirds as they fled their homes in Germany following World War II and created a friendship which formed a family. I thought of these women as superheroes and never thought I would lose one.

Gretel Dzierla (1927-2012).

Please visit the memorial of my good friend Marilyn:
Marilyn Borden (1932-2009).

Please leave me a message if you want to contact me, I no longer will give out my personal e-mail as they are never positive e-mails only complaints. I cannot help on famous memorials I have added, but if you feel you are a relative of mine or you have info I am lacking in one of my memorials, please feel free to leave a message.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY OF MY PHOTOS AND POST THEM ON OTHER WEB PAGES LIKE ANCESTRY.COM WITHOUT PERMISSION. I HAVE SPENT YEARS FINDING THEM AND WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF YOU RESPECT MY WISHES. THANK YOU.

It was fascinating reading your grandfather's story. I read it to my husband who is a historian and author and he said, "Wow, that would make a great mini-series!" Thank you for being so candid. It's not easy exposing the "warts" of those we love. Good job. Sheri (Gen-Sher)

RE: Gomes
Thank you so much for the beautiful words left before the transfer. They are very touching and very much appreciated.

I had asked regarding transfer of uncles and aunts (to include greats -which is heavy in the Gomes area) within that immediate group but one of your other messages looked as if that was not possible (but perhaps I read it wrong). If not, is there an easier way to make the family connections rather than one by one? I have the attention span of a goldfish at times and within a few days I forget who else I was adding and where I was working (I tend to keep going until my eyeballs dry out and threaten to run...ancestry.com has had me pulling all nighters many times!)

Thanks again for keeping them safe for me!

Turlock Memorial Park
How do I add a new updated picture for this cemetery? I took a pic yesterday and would like it to be added to the photos that attach with the cemetery.

Thanks!

John Ralston
I deleted the duplicate memorial, but preserved the info. temporarily, until we find the rest of his children, and I already found one of his missing children.

I am currently dealing with a person, who added Augustus Pearce Ralston with no dates.

Hopefully, that person is still active and will add all the data and then I can help her link that memorial up to his father.

Maybe you can talk her into transferring that memorial to you, if she isn't kin. His or her last name is "Smith", so she might be kin.

Write me directly.

Zoe
