Bio and Links
Bio Photo My interest of documenting cemeteries began with a request to help on an Eagle Scout project in 2001.

Since I love creating and working with databases, digital photography and genealogy, what better combination!

I've documented many Howard Co. Indiana and Montclam Co. Michigan cemeteries with thousands of tombstone photos. My largest contributions are Arlington National Cemetery and Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.

I love Find A Grave and I especially enjoy adding photos to memorials so that family members can visit their family member's grave at anytime. However, I ask that you respect my efforts. Please, do NOT copy my photos to ancestry.com without giving me credit. Simply indicate " 2001-2015 John C Anderson on Find A Grave". I'd appreciate a note letting me know you have copied them. However, do NOT post them to other Find A Grave memorials. Just let me know and I will upload them. Use for commercial purposes is not allowed under any circumstances. However, it is okay with me for you to post my photos of your friends and families headstones on Facebook as long as you link it back to the Find A Grave memorial. You may use my photos on your own personal website if non-commercial, but photo credit is again appreciated.

This love of documenting cemeteries has led to the formation of Instone Data Solutions, a company used by government agencies and others to digitize their old cemetery paper records.

I'm more than happy to make corrections and add relationship links to other memorials.

ALL REQUESTS FOR corrections, additional information, or transfers: PLEASE do so with the Suggest A Correction (SAC) link on the memorial for that person. [Most memorials will have an 'Edit' tab on the upper right side of the memorial. Click on the 'Edit' tab, then click on the 'Suggest a correction' link on the Edit page.]

PLEASE NOTE: I'm very grateful for corrections and additional information, but I'm receiving 75-100 a day and cannot reply to everyone. Please check back to ensure accuracy of memorial page updates.

Please be assured I do most updates, corrections and links (via SAC, email or message) within a day. Guidelines do suggest a member send no more than 20 per week to a single contributor but have no problem with receiving as many as needed to get the objective accomplished - which is getting memorials, and the cemeteries, as accurate and complete as humanly possible.

Charlotte Furst and Selkas
John,

If I sent a suggested edit through for Charlotte Furst (45902975) or Sam Selka (46012932) indicating that they had 2 children, please disgregard that. Charlotte was marred to Sam Selka, but she was not the mother of his children.
I apologize for my error.

Frank John Butsch Jr.
Re: # 45898500

My grandfather, Frank John Butsch Jr., was born on August 8, 1889 (NOT Aug. 8, 1890) in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, USA (NOT in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, USA).

Frank Jr.'s father did not move back to his hometown of Indianapolis until after the September 1894 death of Frank Jr.'s mother in New Orleans. Frank Jr. was 5 years old at the time of their move, and his sister Katie was 2.

Frank John Butsch Jr.'s date of death was July 5, 1979, in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, USA.

Frank John Butsch Jr.'s sister, Katharine Elizabeth "Katie" Butsch, was born on Dec. 24, 1892 (NOT Dec. 25, 1892) in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, but she died in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, USA (NOT in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, USA).

I like to thank you John for listing my great uncle John Ryerson who died in 1865 in this awful place. My grandmother's maiden name was Minnie Ryerson and this was her father's older brother. My great grandmother on my fathers side is also buried at Andersonville. His name was Solomon Gunnon Jr, and was captured at the Battle of cold Harbor. Next year I'll be attending a military paratroopers Reunion at Fort Benning Georgia and will definitely visit the gravesites of my two Uncles. Thank you for listing John Ryerson. Joe Mancini
