JD, I added Elma's memorial today. If you would be so kind as to add the photo of her grave maker, it would be gratefully appreciated.

"Clara Stevens did marry John Dampier.
Dampier, J. B. Stevens, Clara 30-Jan-1906 Bk 1A, pg. 237 Camden County"

Sorry, I don't have a clue as to what this is referring to. Searched Clara Stevens, John Dampier (32 on FG), and Clara Dampier. None of them were my memorials. Don't know where Camden County is either.

RE: Hope Abbey
According to records there is no Roy Pratt buried at Hope Cemetery or the Abby and after a look at the obit directory for 1926, there is no Roy Pratt listed their either.

Obit for Ernest L. Day
I noticed you had a nice memorial for Mr. Day and mentioned that he had been a WW II prisoner of war I have a clipping from the Macomb Journal from June 1945; kept by my grandmother, Mrs. Maud (Leas) Hoelscher originally from Brooklyn.

It is so interesting about how he hid in the mountains and then found a "friendly Filipino" that hid him.

I would be happy mail it to you or scan it and send it to you, if you or a relative would like to have it. You may want to add some of it to his memorial so others might learn what he did during the war

Just let me know. Connie F.
