Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have researched my family tree for several years. My husband and I spent vacations going to different states looking up papers and photos. I lost my husband, brother, and twin sister who started me on the family tree in the last four years. Now it gives me something to do. I live in the middle of the oilfields in Taft California. I have two daughters, son in law and two grandchildren. I was raised in Seattle Wash. and Michigan. I am doing the Gross family and trying all the branches to see what I can find. I have information on the Wright side of the family that goes back to 946 i think. Some items are still in storage. I don't live very far
from the Westside Cem. and Midway Cemetery.in Taft. Of course no one does case its such a small town. I do not work out of the house and find the family tree helps to take up the time of the long days.

Robert D. Balfour
Over a year ago a message was sent with correction and you have yet to correct it. Robert D Balfour (1879-1908) was not the son of James Balfour. He was the son of Henry and Maria (Caswell) Balfour. James had a son by the name of Robert, but the one buried in Marine City's Woodlawn Cemetery is not the correct Robert.

Joan,

Still no luck in locating a marker. Have you had any luck finding which section? Once we narrow it down to section, I will go back and search until I find the location.

Let me know how you are coming along in your search.

Elza Tibbets
Hello Joan

I attempted to fulfill your request For Elza Tibbets today. I a m sorry to say the cemetery has no record of him. I had them also check under Edward And Eddie, but they could not find him. I wonder, since he was originally buried under a "John Doe", if this is the reason he could not be found. If you should receive additional information, please contact me directly, and I will be more than happy to return and check again. The phone # to the cemetery is (805) 642-1055.

Do you have any idea in what section she is buried? I have email the county, and maybe they can help as well. If there is no marker, would you like me to take a photo of the plot?

I have not gotten a picture of her gravestone. If you put in a request we have several people that takes pictures at white tanks. Not sure how long it will take. temps are 115 outside. May take a while for someone to get out to take them. I had a good friend that lived in Taft. her name was Irma Whitney a couple of her kids still live there I think. Do you want me to transfer Melissa?

I am not quite clear what you are asking me to do. Is there a particular request I need to remove?
