Hi, I enjoy doing research on my extended family, something I inherited from both sides of the family. Their work has given me a headstart. Families that I'm researching include Lapham, Wixson, Hillyard-Hyliard, Jesseph, Rappleye, Van Nuys, Ellison, Cantrell, Gennrich-Genrich, Wilk-Wilkie-Wilczewski, Hoff, and Filipowicz-Phillips. And my wife's family Sawyer, Mumm, Limb, Curry, Barkuloo, Schmidt, and Green. |
If I can be of any assistance, please ask. I would also like to thank those in the Find A Grave community for the huge role that you play - THANKS!
A few things I've learned...
Death certificates are good for date and location of death (other info on death certificate is advisory).
Birth certificate is the best source for date of birth, location, and parents.
Info from headstones is also advisory too. Headstones are sometimes put in place decades later by descendants and errors are made.

Thank you for the obit. You say her step-daughter just died, but you don't say who she was. Because of the obit I at least got her maiden name corrected. Thanks Penny
I have accepted your edit request to change the spouse to another person other than the one that was linked. This is the 3rd. time I have changed the spouse for this person.
I am not a fan of the new edit request Find A Grave has put in place due to so many people guessing, just because the names are the same. I receive so many edit requests and its impossible to research all of them to make sure the request is correct.
Thank you for the correct spouse and hopefully I will not receive another one to change it. Just wish others would do their homework (like you have) before submitting the edit request.
Thank you so very much..smiling with joy.. Are you the one now managing that memorial

I made updates on this memorial from the obituary you sent before processing your updates. That is why they came through as declined. I didn't really decline them.

Yes, I'm sure of the parentage, I know the family and they named him after his Uncle.
