Peoria Bill
New at Find a Grave
Hello Dan,

Just wondering how to find a grave in a large cemetery? I don't have a map or index to help locate the grave. What tools do you use to accomplish this. If I have to brute force it and look at every grave marker, then I won't be doing many finds.

Thanks for any advice.

RE: Defenbaugh's @ Springdale
Oh, no, of course you didn't let me down. I think the absence of a headstone is sad because of the likely reasons: they were too poor to afford one, no one was left to care, they did have a stone originally but it was destroyed, unhappy family dynamics made survivors not want to honor the grave, etc. Yeah, Marilyn there is great. She clearly cares about what she's doing ... as do you! Thanks again, amy

RE: Defenbaugh's @ Springdale
Thank you, Dan! It's always a little sad when there isn't a grave marker, don't you think? I appreciate you getting a photo of their graves, and the trouble you went to in tracking down the location. Marilyn has been so helpful. Of course, I will pass on the message. Thank you, again, for your hard work on all this. -Amy

Thank you for being a volunteer to take photo's of headstones. You have a photo of the headstone for Lawrence, would it be ok to use your photo on my family tree on Ancestry? I will be sure to give you credit for the photo and that it came from Find A Grave.
