Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am researching my own family as well as documenting cemeteries. I feel it is important to photograph stones before they are forever lost to time. I would be happy to transfer any memorials that are not directly related to me.

Please do not take offense if I add a different photo to a memorial page. Maybe the photo I took gives a different perspective due to time of year, lighting, etc. Of course, I welcome any additional photos and/or editions to memorials I have created.

Photo Use: If I took the gravestone photo, feel free to use it. Please do not use personal family photos without my permission.
Edits: Use the Edit button on the memorial page for additions/corrections. Do not use personal email for edits unless absolutely necessary.

"Walking. I am listening to a deeper way. Suddenly all my ancestors are behind me. Be still, they say. Watch and listen. You are the result of the love of thousands."
Linda Hogan

P.S. I just want to give a special thank you to all the people who volunteer to take photo requests. Many times it is impossible to see a grave in person and your photo is the next best thing. Many thanks for your time. Paying it forward!

Grave with Sarah E. on it
I am researching the Dolan family. My great grandmother was Sarah Ella Dolan. She died October 5 or 6, 1896 at the age of 32. She was buried in Wilmington and Brandywine Cemetery by her parents, not her husband.

I think the grave that says Sarah E. near to Asher and Rebecca Logan in your photo MIGHT be her grave. Cannot see the rest of the writing. I live in Texas, but am hoping to get a relative still in the area to come see what is hidden.

Short Family Find a Grave Memorial
Hi! I made an edit to the William S. Short memorial and, I guess, the edit info went to you. You indicated that the memorial doesn't belong to you, so you can't make any changes. Are we talking about the same memorial? The one I made the edit to indicates the following info:

I hope this helps. Thank you!

Old and hard to read stones
Looks like you come across your share of older and harder to read stones, so I wanted to share this deciphering method with you. You will be tempted to go back and discover the names on the stones you've already created memorials for with an 'unknown' ... that's what happened to me! :)

I posted this on the Find a Grave Facebook page some time ago:

Never leave home without your LED flashlight!
Found this grave today & want to show you all the difference an LED flashlight makes.
From my other post, This is the safest method of reading these old graves and I feel the most effective. We use an LED flashlight, the higher the lumens, the better. The flashlight we use has 1700 lumens. Shine from left to right, at the edge of the grave, the letters pop right out. We have not had to use foil since we've learned this trick. Some folks say use a blacklight, but our regular LED flashlight works. We recently upgraded from an 860 lumen flashlight (EA4) but it worked great as well.
When the sun is too bright, we use our umbrella to provide shade, then light it up.

If you check out the original post from Jun 21, 2014, you'll see the before and after photo examples.

Hope you enjoy!

RE: Jennette Campbell
You already have a photo of their stone on another memorial. That's why I wasn't sure if I had the right one. You have a memorial for William J. Campbell and for his wife, I think you have Pollack for her maiden name, not Close. Not sure about this though, it was yesterday when I saw it, haha. My memory fools me sometimes, very quickly.

Hello Kimberly,

Thanks for transferring John's memorial to me. I've updated his information, linked him to his family and added his obituary. Thanks again for your help!
